December 11, 20168 yr This winners song hasn't got a patch on Forever Young I think me farting into a mic would be better than Forever Young give them ears a good cleaning   Congrats to Matt anyway rather him win then Sara never got the hype for her if am honest
December 11, 20168 yr I prefer Forever Young personally but this winning single has a much better chance of doing well, it's way more appealing to people who stream I think.
December 11, 20168 yr Author The winner's single did sound very good by X Factor winner's single standards. Unfortunately I won't be able to listen to it again for a couple of months as it'll make me too upset at thinking what Saara could have been! I couldn't listen to Poland's Eurovision entry for a good couple of months after Margaret lost her title and this is basically the same thing! :heehee: The choice of Whitney was great for Saara, I thought that might have grabbed it for her until I saw the odds just tailing off for her during Little Mix. I did like the way they saved the winner's single for the winner and let acts choose songs that suited them as their final performance. Just a shame they thought up this better method this year as now I can't listen to Saara's version of the winner's single instead whereas I would've done every other year!

December 11, 20168 yr The winners song is f***ing appalling. It doesn't go anywhere :drama: Matt winning brought me £910 so I can't complain
December 12, 20168 yr I like the song, but would have loved Sarra to have been performing it. After years of moaning though im happy they have finally given the winner a brand new song. I much prefer this to last years disasters winning single so it will be interesting to see how this does in the chart.
December 12, 20168 yr Sarra probaly should have sang winner takes it all or chandelier over Its oh so quiet, but as much as i wanted her to win i didnt think she would. I am shocked she was winning the vote last night. I really hope she can go somewhere from the show and at the least get an album out as she was the obly act i looked forward to each week. Im not shocked by Honey G not been as popular as they tried to make out, the reaction she got performing on the final showed. Gifty was another one who wasnt as popular as they tried to make us believe, she was low every week, i never thought she was great. Edited December 12, 20168 yr by Feel_The_Fever
December 12, 20168 yr I thought it might be the songs that lost it for her but 8% margin is a bit much to make up. I think it was mostly 5am's voters switching to Matt perhaps :(

December 12, 20168 yr I'm thankful Saara didn't win after all... thinking that 1) the winner's song is awful AND a Christmas song 2) she can start her career from the scratch
December 12, 20168 yr I thought it might be the songs that lost it for her but 8% margin is a bit much to make up. I think it was mostly 5am's voters switching to Matt perhaps :( I think a lot of what is it is the duets. Saara did a good job with hers but they sadly chose a song that just wasn't able to be the kind of moment Nicole and Matt was. I wonder if people realise they were voting for Nicole, not Matt. I think the votes after the first freeze were probably mostly cast after performance 1, where Saara was easily the best. But after the second voting round, Nicole and Matt's duet was the main talking point for 22 hours while the vote was open. I think, unfortunately, the fact that they went in on the "Prince tribute" angle, that probably pulled in a lot of votes. Saara had the best performance of the second night, with her ballad, but I think by that time it was too late and most votes had been cast, if she'd done something like that with Adam, she might have won.
