Oh god sorry :,)

and @ Lenny yeah, sounds so current still - definitely doesn't feel ten years old. I was 8 when I first loved it.

I played it in one of my DJ sets a couple of months ago - first time I'd heard it in years - it did still sound pretty fresh. I miss that sound - the indie pop revolution of the mid 00s was awesome, which came to inspire and produce cross-genre hits such as this one.

It was featured on Spotify's Feel Good Friday playlist.

Exactly, how strange for it to be on that playlist the exact week I chart it?

Definitely! The English indie craze of around a decade ago made so many tunes, I wish there was more home-grown alternative talent getting popular here nowadays.

Has Dua Lipas Be the one gone?

Ouch at 'Be The One' being #08 on iTunes but falling out of the top 200 on Spotify.

Crazy difference between the two there. Will probably cost her a top 40 position :(

how appropriate that R.E.M. song enters following the day of the Inauguration  (it was on Friday Feel Good)

major ouch at 'Be The One' not being top 200. The label really need to send it to Spotify playlists NOW.

at least they should update Dua Lipa's page so that Be The One is the latest release, you have to scroll down the whole page to find Be The One, the latest release is some remix of a Grat
biggest Spotify shock in a while, Vamps/Matoma top 50 in the US!!!

I think the issue with Dua is that her re-release is in the UK only and Spotify tends to operate as one big world wide playlist. Be The One was already a hit in many other countries last year.

Local hits are becoming a rare thing. And it's why you see the same songs charting in every country. Interestingly though, it's allowing many songs to chart on US Spotify that I don't think would ever chart in the US otherwise.

There's the Hot Hits UK playlist that they could be adding 'Be The One' to, but I do agree it's a bit of a problem that Spotify is so globalised, makes it harder for new UK artists to break through on streaming.

I'm fully aware of that :P It's just funny to watch Tinie underperforming with this single when the label thought it would save him after Mamacita flopping.
