Does anyone know if they've been playing the Foo Fighters single much this week? I don't know whether 'Run' is A-listed or not, the website still doesn't include it so I'm going to assume not unless they've been playing it lots!

So with Capital and R1 playlisting it, looks like this can be classified as a truly full-on re-release for 'One Last Time' now.

 

I wonder if there's any chance Carly could be playlisted next week with it being tune of the weekend just now, or whether it will go the same way as Anton Powers/Pixie Lott.

Wow, wasn't expecting them to jump on board with OLT - presumably it will go straight to A-list.

 

That Bieber's getting around isn't he :unsure: I reckon 2U must have a shot at #1 with Bieber's name on it, hopefully it's a return to form for Guetta too.

 

Regarding Carly, I'd say it's the latter, I'd be very surprised if they actually playlisted her.

The new single from The Killers is getting its first play on Annie Mac's show tomorrow evening. What are we thinking? Will they fully support them this era or snub them?

 

It's worth noting they snubbed Brandon's second solo album a few years ago so will be interesting to see.

They scream C-B-B-OUT to me.

As much as I would love them to support The Killers' new era, I can't see it happening. They'll probably move them to Radio 2. Looking forward to hearing the new song anyway :D

Not sure about The Killers, these bands continue their relevance because there are so few big rock acts to replace them. No sign of new Muse on daytime R1 though yet it's on Radio 2. A lot of these bands get dual promotion on both stations when they are at a crossroads, though more and more acts are supported by both stations from the outset, particularly the more MOR/radio-friendly ones. I see the Foos are still going strong on their 400th Radio 1 era, though the new tune is way too aggressive for Radio 2 (though Dead Inside by Muse was hardly easy listening, and that got on). I'm not sure The Killers' last era was massive, but neither was the FFs'. However, The Killers have been away for longer, which makes it easier to quietly move them over, as Take That will tell you. Dave Grohl is in his 27th year of relevance. Smells Like Teen Spirit came out when I was eight!
