I am currently hearing The Best Of The Offical Chart *.*

I also heard Hidden Gems earlier and had no clue Philip Scholfield was a presenter in the day.

I know it's 5AM but, Adele Roberts played BTS - DNA!! Radio 1 did a tweet surrounding it. Amazing.

Schedule Changes Announced

From November 6th, Charlie Sloth is leaving 1Xtra drivetime and will now present a show from 9pm-11pm Monday-Thursday on both Radio 1 and 1Xtra. MistaJam is moving to 1Xtra drivetime.

A new show called 'Life Hacks' will be broadcast on Sundays between 4pm-7pm with Katie Thisleton joining Cel Spellman. The show will blend Radio 1's Surgery with documentary features too.

Danny Howard is moving to Friday nights 11pm-1am to broadcast a show dedicated to underground dance music

Kan D Man and DJ Limelight will join the station to host a weekly Asian Beats show, Sundays, 1am-3am

Comedy and Entertainment podcasts are going to be broadcast Wednesday-Friday from 3am-4am.

^ All of this makes me question...

What's happening to Pete Tong's Show? Is Annie going to be doing a 4 hour show on a Friday? It does seem specialist shows are reverting to their 2-hour length which is better because some of them were filled with pointless 'guest mixes' so hopefully Pete will have the 9pm-11pm slot again.

AND is this the end of Dance Anthems on a Saturday? :(

EDIT: Danny Howard has posted on social media that Annie is 7pm-9pm, Pete 9pm-11pm and he is afterwards. He is not presenting on a Saturday anymore.

Im a bit confused by the Kan D Man and DJ Limelight slot does that mean Monki has left the station?

Monki broadcasts 1-4am on a Monday. This looks like it will replace Target's show on a Saturday night/Sunday morning

Oh mess that makes more sense

Clara's away again this week so Adele is covering for her (A.Dot is doing Wednesday) with Jordan North taking on the Early Breakfast Show. Seriously Radio 1 give that man a proper show now!

Radio 1 and 1XTRA News

Drum and Bass DJ and presenter Friction has decided to leave Radio 1 and 1XTRA after 6 years presenting the drum and bass show. Rene LaVice will take over.

Only familiar with like 1 of his songs he released but I've heard some good remixes so he should be a good replacement. Would've expected Rockwell or Metrik to take over though.
So have they played '...Ready For It?' at all this week? It's still showing on the website as A-listed.
I'm only hearing Look What You Made Me Do when I do tune in and a quick scan of tracklists for the week doesn't show ...Ready For It? at all

OFCOM has posted the final operating licence for the BBC. This also relates to BBC Radio 1/1Xtra.

https://www.ofcom.org.uk/__data/assets/pdf_...ing-licence.pdf

Key points include, one hour of news and two extended bulletins, one in peak time and regular updates during the weekend, (No change in other words) 40 new documentaries per year, 45% of the music in daytime should be British acts, also 45% of the music in the daytime should be new music and the majority form British acts, 60 hours of specialist music is required, 175 new sessions, live or pre-recorded within 3 months and the station plays a bigger range of music which takes into the account of the size of the playlist and amount of plays in daytime/nighttime.
