If the Christmas Mixes return this year then it won't start again on the 1st because that's a Friday so the earliest it will start will probably be the 4th and end on the 22nd.

R1's 50th Birthday celebrations start from tomorrow with a Live Lounge Special for the Foo Fighters from LA. Also this weekend and possibly for the September weekends from 10am-1pm is Radio 1's Greatest Hits show from the last 50 years. Matt is off for September so Jordan will cover from the 2nd/3rd, Yasser from the 9th/10th, Katie Thistleton from the 16th/17th and Abbie McCarthy from the 23/24th. Finally the schedule for the R1 Pop-up station.

What a bizarre run, I wonder why they stopped playing it that week it dipped to 13 and then started playing it loads again!

Radio 1's Greatest Hits is on now and tomorrow with Jordan North and then Yasser next weekend, playing some of the biggest songs from the past 50 years! Well worth a listen.

Reading that Miley Cyrus's Live Lounge is going to be pre-recorded. I can't help but wonder if any cost cutting is going on? For a month which gets hyped up so much, (It's their biggest September yet.) I think it's very poor to be pre-recording stuff like this...

Maybe she just has a scheduling conflict? They can't exactly put her on a different day and shove someone else out of the way just because she's busy. Pre-recording makes sense. It's still going to be her singing live :lol:

Exactly, it's not like they're going to edit what she actually performs. It also means she can pre-record more songs for Radio 1 to decide to play on other DJs' shows.
