They better not cancel the chart on 29th December. We wanna see our weekly chart too you know. This is why they should have kept the chart on Sundays instead of moving it to Fridays

1. You'll still be able to see the weekly chart on the OCC website at 17:45

2. That chart is probably going to be full of Christmas songs, do you really expect R1 to play a load of those four days after Christmas?

3. The chart changing from Sunday to Friday has nothing to do with it, if the chart was still on Sunday they'd have still replaced the weekly chart with the year-end chart

4. They may briefly recap the weekly chart before going into the year-end chart, which they did last year.

5. The year-end chart deserves the priority with it being the end of the year.

I would like to hear Christmas songs personally as I make a point of listening to them until at least 30th Dec because it is actually Christmas still and it annoys me that people listen in November and stop on 25th. Always funny also watching the uk official top 40 being played on MTV until 29/12 with Christmas videos although they normally play this at a minimal level for the week and play more top 40 charts of the year (Even though the constantly play these throughout the year).

They should recap the whole top 40 and play the top 10 in full like they did when they used to cancel the chart on Sundays due to R1’s big weekend

One can be hopeful! :teresa:

Lol Scott too - always works Everyday over xmas whereas the divas like Greg and Grimmy get holidays like they are at school still!
Is it just me or does the Radio 1 home page NOT have a link to listen live!? It should be right up at the top like it is for Radio 2 and all the others

Just to update on the bold listed above. It's Daniel P Carter in for Annie Mac on NYD and the vacant early morning slot on the 2nd-5th is now filled by Will Best.

Also irrelevant to the schedule, Mabel, Isaac Gracie and Jorja Smith are now on the Radio 1 Brit List.

There's no way Jordan North is doing that NYD breakfast show live when he's supposedly presenting until 1am for NYE

Which means guaranteed A List plays!

I think he mentioned that NYD breakfast is pre-recorded and the NYE show is a live broadcast.

And a second song for Mabel on the A-List considering Finders Keepers was A-listed before she was added to the list.

Mabel and Jorja should have Been Alisted last year and Isaac Gracie looking big for me in 2018!
Have R1 or any other station played Trigger Bang by Lily Allen?

This is quite late so you may have found your answer but they have played a couple of times in the evenings, Annie Mac's show I think but hardly at all in the daytime.
