The FA Cup match rating higher than normally because of an non-league team in Sutton playing Arsenal.

No doubt the BBC will be hoping Chelsea v Man Utd attracts a similar figure.

21:00 The Good Karma Hospital - 5.27m (25.3%)

The Halcyon had a series average of 3.81m - as much as I've enjoyed it, it's not had too great ratings, although it has been consistent. In its slot last year was Benidorm which had a series average of 4.48m.

Death in Paradise had a series average of 6.31m, 110k up on last year's series.

Gogglebox returned with higher ratings than the previous series opener from September (2.09m/2.66m) but with lower ratings than the series opener from last February (3.61m/4.20m). Definitely feels like Gogglebox's star is fading now, although it still repeats well.

Let It Shine had a series average of 4.65m - rest assured that it won't be back next year! The Voice UK, which was in its slot last year, had a series average of 5.72m and even that was considered bad.

Taboo had a series average of 3.69m - doesn't seem that good for a January drama but I'd say it was good for one aired on a Saturday night. It also time-shifts extremely well.

Saturday's Rugby Six Nations that aired from 2pm on BBC 1 rated 4.24m (34.3%) with a peak of 5.67m (40.6%).

Saturday Night Takeaway returned with slightly higher ratings than last year (7.37m and a 32.7% share).

Ouch at that 2.22m drop for SS-GB! It's good news for The Good Karma Hospital though as that rose 470k week-on-week.

Sunday's Rugby Six Nations, airing from 2pm on ITV, rated 4.32m (29.3%) with a peak of 7.16m (42.3%).

Interesting figures last night with The Nightly Show apparently getting around 3m with ITV News getting its lowest Monday night rating of the year with 1.6m. It normally averages around 2m so The Nightly Show is obviously an improvement on that (so far!!) but I'm sure bosses won't be too pleased at the falling ratings for the news, especially when they've recently revamped it.

If The Nightly Show decreases its ratings, I'm sure it'll be quickly swept under the rug after this 8 week run. If it builds its audience, it could become a permanent fixture!

I don't think ITV cares about the news. They see it more as a hindrance than opportunity, unlike the BBC, since they don't make much revenue from it. If they can get The Nightly Show to stick (which I doubt) they'll be more than happy I think.

Poor night for BBC 1 - even Eastenders dropped considerably.

Fantastic for Broadchurch - only a little bit down on Series 2's opener, but a higher share. Should consolidate to over 10m (the last series had time-shifts of 3m almost throughout).

Previous Broadchurch Series Openers

Series 1 (2013): 6.87m (28.2%)

Series 2 (2015): 7.56m (30.1%)

Series 3 (2017): 7.48m (34.0%)

Series Averages for Broadchurch (Overnights/Official)

Series 1 (2013): 7.11m (28.2%); 9.37m (+2.26m)

Series 2 (2015): 6.28m (26.0%); 9.21m (+2.93m)

Despite the criticism the series got, the last series actually did well in the ratings. The first three episodes declined sharply (7.56m, 6.13m, 5.66m) but started going back up, hitting 7.84m for the finale! It also time-shifted better than Series 1, which meant official figures were pretty similar in the end.

Not sure what to make of the almost 3m rating for The Nightly Show. Objectively, it seems decent for a 10pm showing on ITV, but when you consider its lead in and how hyped it seems to have been, it doesn't seem that great, especially when it is likely to fall next week (it started with 3.76m and finished with 2.16m). Just to add, BBC News got 4.19m (24.7%) in the same slot.

Very poor night for ITV. Even the news that aired at 10:30pm was under 1m!

Wow at that drop for The Nightly Show, could be looking at a big disaster. I didn't watch last night but the first episode showed that there do need to be big changes if it is to continue.

I still don't get how Play to the Whistle is going, it was getting the same figures in its Saturday night slot.

Kind of thought The Replacement would get around 6m but, as I said, the trailer didn't make it look as exciting as it probably is, largely because its probably trying to not give much away.

With Play to the Whistle, I'm guessing it must be good demos that's keeping it going? It must pull in a more male and younger audience than their usual one.

The Nightly Show got 2m last night, following Benidorm's 4.7m. ITV News only got 1.2m.

Basically The Nightly Show's ratings will be dependent on the previous programme it seems, and we know ITV can have some awful nights.

Does seem like The Nightly Show will indeed vary depending on its lead in. We've got Prime Suspect 1973 and Lethal Weapon on Thursdays and Fridays so, in theory, The Nightly Show's only poor lead-in is on Tuesday nights. However, is getting 2m based on the lead-in, not even the show itself, really worth celebrating?

I've been listening/reading Richard Osman's thoughts on The Nightly Show who seems to be quite supportive of it, or rather the idea of it. I agree that the concept is good which is why I want it to work out. He says that its something where the audience needs to grow, which again, I agree with. However, there are some rather drastic changes that need to be done to it and, considering ITV have apparently been working on this for months & months, I'm not sure it will become the programme it needs to be a good show and secure a loyal audience.

They should move Play To The Whistle to ITV4.

Seems like people have given up on The Nightly Show - it's got almost the same ratings with a 5m lead-in as it did with just shy of a 2m lead-in on Tuesday.

The Big Bang Theory got 1.27m (6.3%) on E4 at 8:30pm too.
