March 15, 20178 yr Ouch!, what a flop The Nightly Show has turned out to be. Is that the lowest viewing figures that ITV have had for a 10:00 show by the way?
March 15, 20178 yr Author Ouch!, what a flop The Nightly Show has turned out to be. Is that the lowest viewing figures that ITV have had for a 10:00 show by the way? My immediate reaction is to check what ITV showed during the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the Olympics. During the Opening, a Vera repeat was shown from 9pm-10:30pm and averaged 1.59m (1.18m exc. +1). I'm unsure what was shown at 10pm during the Closing, but a repeat of A Touch of Frost rated 1.08m at 9pm (670k exc. +1, which was the lowest ever rating for a 9pm show on ITV), so presumably whatever was shown at 10pm got even lower.
March 15, 20178 yr There has to be alarm bells ringing about Eastenders? 5.7m on a 'regular' Tuesday showing in March is shocking.
March 16, 20178 yr Author There has to be alarm bells ringing about Eastenders? 5.7m on a 'regular' Tuesday showing in March is shocking. Indeed - this time last year, Eastenders rated 6.99m (I believe this was the week after "Mother's Day Week" and the episode that the Carters found Ollie having a seizure in his cot).

Doing a bit of research, the last time a programme got higher on the 7-day data was 21/11/15 when The Bridge rated 1.81m. It got 2.11m on 28-day data so Roots beats it on that. 28-day data only goes back to December 2014, but no other BBC 4 programmes have got over 2m in that period. The last time a BBC 4 programme reached 2m was when Hattie rated 2.01m on 19/01/11, which was in fact the highest consolidated rating for BBC 4 ever. -x- Apple Tree Yard Ratings (Over/7-Day/28-Day) 5.36m (23.3%) | 7.01m (+1.65m) | 8.80m (+1.79m) | Episode 1 5.09m (22.9%) | 6.72m (+1.63m) | 8.08m (+1.36m) | Episode 2 5.54m (24.9%) | 7.50m (+1.96m) | 8.11m (+610k).. | Episode 3 5.18m (24.8%) | 7.33m (+2.15m) | 7.93m (+600k).. | Episode 4 5.29m (24.0%) | 7.14m (+1.85m) | 8.23m (+1.09m) -x- Unforgotten Ratings (Over/7-Day/28-Day; excluding +1) 3.72m (16.0%) | 5.58m (+1.86m) | 6.42m (+840k) | Episode 1 3.57m (16.1%) | 5.64m (+2.07m) | 6.39m (+750k) | Episode 2 3.32m (15.6%) | 5.46m (+2.14m) | 6.30m (+840k) | Episode 3 3.14m (14.1%) | 5.04m (+1.90m) | 5.85m (+810k) | Episode 4 3.26m (15.1%) | 5.48m (+2.22m) | 6.12m (+640k) | Episode 5 3.45m (15.6%) | 5.54m (+2.09m) | 5.94m (+400k) | Episode 6 3.41m (15.4%) | 5.46m (+2.05m) | 6.17m (+710k) Unforgotten Ratings (Over/7-Day/28-Day; including +1) 4.32m (18.6%) | 6.37m (+2.05m) | 7.29m (+920k) | Episode 1 4.01m (18.1%) | 6.28m (+2.27m) | 7.08m (+800k) | Episode 2 3.73m (17.5%) | 6.12m (+2.39m) | 7.04m (+920k) | Episode 3 3.51m (15.8%) | 5.66m (+2.15m) | 6.52m (+860k) | Episode 4 3.65m (16.9%) | 6.07m (+2.42m) | 6.77m (+700k) | Episode 5 3.97m (18.0%) | 6.33m (+2.36m) | 6.77m (+440k) | Episode 6 3.87m (17.5%) | 6.14m (+2.27m) | 6.91m (+770k)
