Don't blame Meghan and Harry from stepping back out of the Royal Family.

Seems like an eminently sensible decision to me.

I think they are right to make a life for themselves elsewhere , they get a terrible time from the press . I hope it works out for them, they must be under a lot of pressure , hard to lead a normal life if you are a Royal I guess

Watching Australia on Fire on CH4 , there is a fire in the mountains in the direction where my brother lives but is a good distance away T God, they expect it to burn until March, it looked totally unbelievable . We then saw shots of Sydney & the smoke filled sky, just dreadful. I am glad I was not there for Christmas past as I would not have been able to go into the city & enjoy walking around, it just looked too smoky. I am supposed to be heading there at the end of this year so I hope it will not be the same all over again ...

It was amazing. I went with a boy to dinner there and we stayed the night.

My Dad told me off the next day for wasting money. But it was worth it. :cheer:

I can date it exactly because on the news the next day I heard that Phil Lynott (from Thin Lizzy) had died. Therefore it was 4th January 1986.

I wonder how quickly the countryside can re-generate? Nature is a wonderful thing.

The loss of wildlife and homes was terrible though.

Over twenty people died & you could never count the number of animals that were killed , the whole thing is quite shocking. the Australian government have a lot to answer for , their in-action on Climate change , their slow response to sending help to the firefighters who were exhausted & many of them volunteers , they must have really felt abandoned ... I was going to book my flights in a few months time but am definitely having second thoughts about the timing of my trip ..

The first season saw pairs of travellers race to reach the Far East without taking a single flight, with no smartphone etc , all they had was the money that the airfare would have cost on the day they set off from Greenwich in London, they actually got a jobs along the way to keep them going cash wise, they had a to race to reach different destinations during the trip & try & avoid being eliminated & sent home , it was really enjoyable
