Much better to just research facts, and the facts are: Hitler rabbled crowds with promises, victimised non-aryans and non-straights, used the same techniques Trump is using against intellectuals, gradually increased his powers and hold, and did everything that his critics said he would do - the ones that didn't shut up were killed. Most of all, he loved killing people. The more millions the better. Absolutely had no compassion for people. And people went along with it. That means that either everyone is Germany who went along with it were as evil as he is, or else they were duped sheep. That argument applies today. There are differences though - Germany's economy was wrecked by reparations & the stock market crash, making it far easier than normal for a smooth-talking demagogue to brainwah people. There is not a comparable situation in either the UK or US today.

The Crash of 29 caused the Great Depression in the USA and they responded by starting up massive infrastructure projects like the Hoover Dam rather than slide into fascism. Meanwhile, the Banking Crisis hot ordinary over a long period of time, increasing homelessness, reducing job opportunities, income, slashing money on the NHS . OK not the same scale, but when people see things take a downturn they look for radical solutions - in the States TRump, in the UK, Brexit/UKIP, In Germany, France, Poland, Turkey and so on the same movement towards the far-right because angry people want action NOW and want someone to BLAME rather than the actual ones responsible - in our case, bankers and blase politicians. We bailed them out. If people were starving in the streets in great numbers then it wouldnt be the far-right that benefits, it would be revolutionaries if MP's were doing nothing about it. When you have nothing to lose, anything seems worth trying. Plus, people are dumb.
