Really pleased with this album although I do wish there was more than eight tracks as I'm just left wanting even more even though the lengths of each song are quite long. I'm not sure if anything is hitting Every Other Freckle levels of amazing but In Cold Blood is coming very close. I think 3WW was a great choice for lead single too as it is easily one of the best tracks on here and of their discography so far. Adeline is the first track that's really jumping out at me, it's pretty glorious imo and surely single 3 but I'm enjoying Deadcrush a lot too. The only one that's not really connecting with me is Hit Me Like That Snare...

Receiving Album of the Day treatment on 6 Music today

Finally got around to listening to this today (on vinyl *.*) - I do wish it was more than 8 tracks as well but this is a very good album, both of the singles are sublime ('3WW' still easily among my favourite songs of the year probably behind only a couple of Lorde songs) and my first listen highlights of the rest of it are 'Last Year' and 'Deadcrush' :wub: 'Adeline' also sounded like one that could grow into a favourite with another few listens. And yeah like Josh said the only track that I was a bit unsure of on first listen was 'Hit Me Like That Snare', didn't seem to fit in too much with the album's sound.

So I watched their Glastonbury set last night, really confirmed 3WW as being probably the best thing released this year - it was absolutely incredible. And really made me kick myself that I didn't go and watch it as I was waiting around in a bar not too far away at that time - still, I wasn't to know they'd have opened the set with it I suppose!

 

I thought that their second album was about as big a drop off in quality from debut to album #2 as I've ever known, the new one is definitely back on the right track.

Listened to their performance of 3WW and In Cold Blood from jools last month and it was great!
