How exciting is this? A 4th single... no BGT. I know the Sotmrzy feature is helping but I didn't think it would do that well

 

 

Not only does he give the song a further "cool" factor, but he is a god on streaming too. The respect for the GP have for him cancel out the martmite feeling some get for some of the more "out there" lyrics.

 

It's a great combination of a fantastic video (That wasn't horribly delayed like SLS, Touch and NMSS), well chosen feature and a quite unique banger at the core.

 

 

Also, the mids were from yesterday, my mistake. And for the record, it was outselling 15,14,13 on Monday.

To be honest I don't think they'll discount it. It was desperate measures for No More Sad Songs because it wasn't getting any airplay at all, but with the song sitting at #3 on iTunes I really can't the label wanting to lose the money.

Oddly enough, they're still hammering NMSS instead, just as they were doing with 'Touch' back in March. I don't understand their inability to give two LM songs high rotation. They certainly have no qualms spamming multiple Ed Sheeran tracks.

Unless they jump to like top 5 on Spotify tomorrow and stay #3 or higher for the rest of the week, I don't think so.

It's not in hot songs anymore and a lot of big songs are now 59p so don't be surprised if this falls somewhat on iTunes tomorrow.

If it holds up on iTunes it should go back up to first page as the ones above it on hot hits will be demoted.

Are hot hits determined solely by how they're doing on iTunes? I thought it was mostly payola?
