April 1, 20178 yr Author They're all strong performances tbh. I know I've said before that the carnival-esque renditions looses the poignancy of the original song, but there's no denying that there's such strong stage presence and atmosphere and I love how she puts the attention on the musicians. She definitely understands the essence of Latin culture and celebrates it. I think the Girlie Show performance is my favourite. It sticks with the original production for the most part and her vocals have lots of fire behind them, then things get a bit more livelier towards the end which makes a great finale but doesn't overshadow the earlier segment of the performance.
April 2, 20178 yr Author It's impossible to choose!! Went for the original but they are all stunning !!! Yes I was tempted to go with the Who's That Girl? performance too! As ever with that tour, she has such ferociously cheery energy and there's great passion behind the vocals, albeit not as strong as The Girlie Show. I love the flamenco dress she wears too.
