UPDATE, 2:25pm PT: No, it's not you. The problem with "Sign of the Times" in the search function on Spotify appears to be ongoing, with many industryites wondering if they're the ones having the problem. The socials are now rife with speculation, much of it completely uninformed. Stay tuned.

 

Apparently a glitch caused “Sign of the Times,” Harry Styles’ blockbuster new single, to vanish sporadically from Spotify this morning and become nearly impossible, at times, to find. The track appeared at the top of the New Music Friday playlist for a time and then disappeared. Sources close to the situation say the problem is being fixed as expeditiously as possible—and the Swedish streamery is offering a bevy of ways to make up for it.

 

Still, observers wonder how this unfortunate technical issue—said to be a function of how new music is absorbed into Spotify’s system--will affect the Columbia megastar’s first-week streams.

I can't listen to Harry's track, it shows it's there but can't listen to it.

oops... looks like spotify has hit a glitch somewhere, Clean Bandit for #1 than, hopefully its only temporary.

I didn't have any issue listening to Harry at all yesterday?

Oh a few people did seem to have that glitch, hopefully that is the cause because #14 is a bit underwhelming!

I know a bunch of people that couldnt find it... at first... but they all were smart enough to find it by going to the new music playlist

Sign Of The Times was there for me all day, but between around midday and 6pm I couldn't listen to it - like instead of being coloured white, the song title was coloured grey.

No, on Spotify. I mean you can find it on playlists, by typing Harry Styles etc but it doesn't play. I can be area problem obviously as well but to those who say it went only #14 it's gonna skyrocket to #1 when people can actually listen to it :P

Yeah, everyone I know can play it just fine too. But sometimes if you buy a song on iTunes, Spotify recognises that and it glitches when you try and play it through spotify on desktop.

Yes the Spotify says I could play it if it was on my computer but I haven't bought it. Of course it would play fine if it was on my device
