October 16, 200618 yr Well, true, but the script actually established a reason for that though... So, I have no issue with that. There are no such script or plot reasons for the continual Earth-bound nature of this current Dr Who.... It's just Davis being an arse.... Yes there is no reason. But even if they do go off earth they'll just use CGI. And they won't do what they used to do with real people in costumes etc. You had to use your imagination then, it's all too cheap nowdays.
October 16, 200618 yr looking forward to it :D been looking for something to fill my Sunday night slot ever since 24 season 5 finished
October 17, 200618 yr Will have to download as I don't get BBC3 :( Was that a lesbian kiss I saw in the trailer :kink:
October 20, 200618 yr I wouldn't know, couldn't bear to watch it. The film was on this morning, I think Paul Mcgann (sp?) would have made a good doctor if he got to do episodes. The other film Doctor, that nobody seams to mention is of course Peter Cushing, who (excuse pun  ) I think was the best Doctor bar whatsisname, (goes searching on google) ah, of course, Christopher Eccleston. Torchwood, which of course is a clever anagram of Doctor Who looks to be good, judging by the trailers. I think it may even be better than Doctor Who. Is that sacrilege?
October 21, 200618 yr I think it may even be better than Doctor Who. Is that sacrilege? Nowdays Doctor Who maybe it is...
October 21, 200618 yr Author Starts tomorrow night at 10pm on BBC3 :cheer: 2 episodes back to back Anyone who misses it, can watch the repeat on BBC2 Wednesdays 9pm, the watered down version
October 22, 200618 yr What did everyone make of this then?. I didn't like the first episode. Moved a bit too slow and was pretty boring but I guess were just been introduced to the charchters. Now the second episode was strange. I found it a bit sick tbh and it really made me wonder what goes on it Russel T Davies head. But yeah I can definitley see why its aimed not aimed at children now.
October 22, 200618 yr not sure tbh..... the whole concept is alittle too far fetched, a bloke who cant die, an organisation run by..?... wheres the financing coming from? their wages? and they are all kids! lol. it would be better if it was more believeable, part of mi5 , older people, but the concept is interesting.
October 22, 200618 yr Well i thought it was pretty good actually. An okay start to a promising series.
October 22, 200618 yr Author Missed the first episode, watched the second one though, it was kinda odd episode, with a bit of sex, until the guy exploded into dust, while having it off, which I found funny. Girl on girl action was a bit distasteful, It has got potential, I kinda liked it, might just grow on me after awhile.
October 22, 200618 yr I really enjoyed it, though I found it strange that 'We are the Pipettes' was being played during the pub brawl in episode one! And the "He came and went" line was pure class!
October 23, 200618 yr I enjoyed this, but i thought torchwood was in scotland, as it was set up by Queen Victoria  Also do u know if the doctor makes an appearence
October 23, 200618 yr Author Also do u know if the doctor makes an appearence  There are no plans for a Dr. Who crossover episode
October 23, 200618 yr Radio 1 did a pod cast with includes some of this. http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/documentaries/podcast.shtml
October 24, 200618 yr I enjoyed this, but i thought torchwood was in scotland, as it was set up by Queen Victoria  Also do u know if the doctor makes an appearence  Well they said Torchwood 1 was London, 2 was Glasgow and 3 is Cardiff.
