November 16, 20177 yr Ace Of Base - All That She Wants but more generic crap I prefer this to Clean Bandit/Anne Marie/Sean Paul's song 'Rockabye' though which was also compared to 'All That She Wants'. I can see why you would think it was generic though, it is getting a bit too close to Maroon 5's style although thankfully the vocalist is better in Fall Out Boy imo.
November 16, 20177 yr I've been listening to this so much today and I'm obsessed, this bops so hard and the drum track is AMAZING, especially in the middle eight *.*
January 5, 20187 yr I haven’t given much listen to any of this after Young & Menace, but thankfully the other 3 singles are far from it and I actually quite like them
January 12, 20187 yr This is gooooood I'll stop wearing black when they make a darker colour is a MOOD
January 12, 20187 yr Pretty annoying radio 1 seem to have abandoned them after many years for this album!
January 19, 20187 yr Omg okay this is pretty good but out of the 5 new tracks, the only one I love is Stay Frosty Royal Milk Tea, the others are kinda meh but will probs grow, my initial rank... HOLD ME TIGHT OR DON'T > Stay Frosty Royal Milk Tea > Wilson (Expensive Mistakes) > The Last Of The Real Ones > Young and Menace > Champion > Bishops Knife Tricks > Churches > Sunshine Riptide > Heavens Gate
January 19, 20187 yr I’m liking this more than I thought I would, HMTOD is a bop & Young and Menace is actually growing on me in the context of the album despite hating it last year
January 23, 20187 yr the vocals on some of these songs seem to raw and unedited as if they were recorded after first attempt. it's pretty interesting to see that with a mainstream artist like FOB. can't say i liked the album much tbh. some good melodies and i feel 'young and menace' could've been amazing without those cringeworthy vocals in the chorus
January 23, 20187 yr This is such a grower of an album imo, i am really liking it but I don't understand why they needed the extra time to "up the quality" or whatever they said as I do agree that it sounds quite raw and almost demo-y in parts... I dread to think what the album was looking like around the original release date when this is what we got :kink: Not that it's bad, it's just not up to their usual level. I also was kind of surprised it's only 10 tracks long and we had 5 of them before the album dropped, you'd think when they delayed releasing it they would have maybe included some more new songs so that we weren't already sitting with half the album, that's gonna kill their sales as well probs. That kind of release strategy is something Fuelled By Ramen have been doing recently with their bigger bands, I had to actually check that FOB weren't signed to them but I forgot Pete and Patrick have their own independent label that I now know is an imprint of FBR so that explains that... Fuelled By Ramen used to be amazing at handling alternative artists but they've not been too great for the last few years, like they almost neglect their new/up and coming bands and then they kinda play to the commercialisation aspect with their bigger bands, it's about sales and promo with them and trying to get the most out of the fanbases but this releasing half the album beforehand is shite and is gonna set the album up to flop. It's like they're over hyping and then everyone's just like aw was that It?? They should be using some of that promo space to try and get word out about their new bands, not telling people that one of the biggest bands on their label are releasing an album soon for the 500th time :') what's the point of fall out boy being on their own label if they're gonna make the mistakes their previous label are making
