Well you could equally argue that GA were driven by Xenomania. I think LM have done well to evolve with each era. DNA put them on the map, Salute gave them some credibility, GW made them properly break out and GD made them massive in the UK. I can't think of another XF act whose 4th album is their biggest.

I agree Girls Aloud and Saturdays have better discographies but Little Mix are much better performers and I don't know how you can say they have less personality than the sats.

The Saturdays were too busy going on holiday to develop personalities. LM radiate personality.
