all stars drag isn’t about demure ‘i hope i can do better..., eh.. in time’, get going BRING IT, this is all stars it’s not about ‘growing’, hit it off the bat, expectations are high and you’ve had plenty of time to refine your craft

I watched the first fifteen minutes... so Trixie has become a bitchy arsehole then.... if she's going for comedy, she should try and be funny.

Exactly! A lot of queens use drag to cope with being anxious, depressed etc. and it's a manifestation of what they can't be as "themselves" - often being more confident and assured. But she is everything that a queen SHOULD be, exactly as Jake said you need to be 100% there and giving it everything and knowing you can do it, not being all demure and humble.

it's not so much in this all stars trailer, it's outside of that in her work - i get her sense of humour but it doesn't have the relatable self-awareness / off-moment to go with it to show that it's purely only a joke and not her ego. it really comes across in her unhhhh web series with katya in the later episodes and in interviews etc. (watch her body language as well!) - not that the arrogance/big ego is really a problem for me personally because she's worked hard for her success and IS hilarious but i feel that if she doesn't reel it in it might even cause a moment in all stars.

Yes mama...i was literally screaming during her performance...like where the hell she was last season.

 

And i feel like the wrong one got send home tonight but she did that to herself...you don’t say things like that so out loud because it will backfire lol and clearly it did.

Can't say I'm feeling DeLa this season - it all feels a bit false. She's trying so hard to be congenial and then cuts someone ruthlessly for competition sake so there's a bit of a discord between what she said and what she did. I agree with cutting the "better" queen for competition sake actually, i'm glad it was done (especially as I just prefer Chi Chi and want her to have a chance) but at least own it. I loved her reading, runway performance and lipsync, but I just can't take to the inbetween :lol:

I know its just episode 1 but Trixie and Milk were very meh

 

I went into the episode really not liking BenDeLaCreme, but I don't think I've laughed out loud at a lip sync the way I did with hers. But then she sent home one of the Queens who'd given the best TV for the most of the episode.

 

Chi Chi was a major disappointment, her talent show performance wasn't that bad but that wig and those shoes...However, I do think Milk's performance was worse, what a mess.

 

Trixie is both trying too hard and fading into the background at the same time.

 

Oh yes, and I'm loving Bebe.

It was such a ‘is this actually happening?’ moment wasn’t it? She’s really into voguing at the moment.

Gutted that Morgan went out first, I f***ing love her and I was ready for the unadulterated messiness that she was going to bring. I was looking forward to the kind of Season 2 attitude; back when the queens were just more outspoken and honest without the fear of being the baddy or stepping out of line.

 

I hope they bring her back. Chi Chi should have been the first gone for sure.

I'm really not with the Aja love. I see behind the facade, and she really isn't that talented. We get it, you can Death drop.

Yeah, Aja is a rubbish try-hard.

 

All of her facial expressions and so on get on my nerves so much. It's like she's trying to become a meme with everything she does.

Yeah I get this sense of ‘I’m really honest and real and sickening which makes me iconic’ vibe from Aja. It’s just not great.
