I liked Common People , and Jarvis bareing his arse at Jacko for me as well.... :P

Pulp were a fine band. I bought both Different Class and His N Hers about 2 months ago and both are excellent albums. Common People and Babies are my favourite songs.

I was a huge fan back in the Mid 90s, and imo, His N Hers is better than Different Class.

Jarvis wrote most of the lyrics for Charlotte Gainsbourg's 5.55 album. Check it out it's great.

got the single. not the album. want to get the serge dvd. think it will be cool. esp history de melody nelson. think thats the one. sampled on a mc solaar record on african rock n roll years thing.

MC Solaar's hit sampled Bonnie and Clyde, I think. Melody Nelson has been used by Massive Attack (Karmakoma), David Holmes (Don't Die Just Yet), De La Soul and is the basis of Beck's Paper Tiger.

EDIT: As this thread is about Pulp, Jarvis does one of the few good tracks on Gainsbourg Revisited LOL, but the same song (Je suis venu te dire que je m'en vais) is performed much better on the 'Pop Romantique' comp by John Westley Harding.

Edited by findingout
