August 4, 20177 yr Author 11. K-2SO - So this means that no new characters from Rogue One have made the top 10 in my countdown. It's tough to make a big impression in the space of just one movie but K-2SO is already up there with some of the Star Wars icons for me  Never has a character had such perfect humour in a SW movie yet but he provided light moments in all the right places during the movie and all of his gags landed - I still remember cackling out loud when he hits Cassian when pretending to be a prison guard. He also has his big sacrificial moment which almost had me tearing up, definitely the death that hit me the most in the film and that's because he was such a lovely character. The top 10 shall be starting tomorrow hopefully, here it is in alphabetical order: C3PO Chancellor Palpatine/Darth Sidious Count Dooku Darth Vader General Grievous Han Solo Leia Organa Mace Windu Obi Wan Kenobi Yoda Any hopes or predictions? and a recap: 50. Coleman Trebor 49. Luminara Unduli 48. Plo Koon 47. Saesee Tiin 46. Bib Fortuna 45. Admiral Ackbar 44. Boba Fett 43. Orson Krennic 42. Lando Calrissian 41. Aayla Secura 40. Lama Su 39. Greedo 38. Watto 37. Sebulba 36. Jyn Erso 35. Shaak Ti 34. Jango Fett 33. Kit Fisto 32. Wicket 31. Grand Moff Tarkin 30. Kylo Ren 29. Rey 28. Galen Erso 27. Finn 26. Anakin Skywalker 25. Chirrut Imwe 24. August 5, 20177 yr I've just realised you left out Wedge Antilles! And the pilot was my favourite in Rogue One. Hoping for a Vader Sidious top 2
August 5, 20177 yr The majority of those would be worthy winners. Made Windu tho. I always thought he was kinda lame.
August 5, 20177 yr Han and Obi Wan to come bottom of the top ten with C3PO. There's so many more interesting things about the rest of them and their back stories.
August 6, 20177 yr Author I love BB8 and R2D2 Yep, the droids are really cool characters in general tbh. The ones that don't talk are really cute  :heehee: Thanks! I've just realised you left out Wedge Antilles! And the pilot was my favourite in Rogue One. Hoping for a Vader Sidious top 2 Yep, Antilles was in my shortlist but just missed out. A cool side character but hardly the most exciting guy ever :heehee: Thanks Severin! The majority of those would be worthy winners. Made Windu tho. I always thought he was kinda lame. Mace Windu had the purple lightsaber which I remember being the coolest thing ever as a child, plus he's SAMUEL L. JACKSON who is pretty much the coolest guy ever  Cheers TBoy ! Han Solo too high tbh. As if you had a crush on young Mark Hamill and not young Harrison Ford... Thanks Grant :heehee: Han and Obi Wan to come bottom of the top ten with C3PO. There's so many more interesting things about the rest of them and their back stories. Ah, they all have interesting stories. Obi Wan especially, I loved seeing a younger him in the prequels and seeing how he grew to become Ben Kenobi!! Thanks Sean :o
August 6, 20177 yr Author 10. MACE WINDU - Mace Windu is one of the most instantly recognisable Jedis in the Star Wars movies, mainly due to his trademark distinctive purple lightsaber. I remember really wanting a purple lightsaber as a kid because he pulled it off with such swagger. He's also played by Samuel L Jackson who is one of the most effortlessly cool guys around in movies for the past few decades. He also has one of the best death scenes in a SW movie for me too, I remember being so gutted that Anakin had betrayed him in that moment  All of that adds up to him coming across as a likeable and very experienced Jedi which is why I warmed to his character so much. http://i.imgur.com/UTjEHMr.gif 09. GENERAL GRIEVOUS - So I was talking about Darth Maul being one of the coolest characters in the Star Wars universe earlier in my countdown but what's cooler than two-ended lightsaber? Being able to carry FOUR lightsabers at one time, of course! He's not one of the main baddies in the movies but he is the PERFECT side villain. From his menacing breathy way of talking to toying with his victims to just looking badass with a selection of lightsabers from Jedi's he has killed, Grievous was one of the scariest villains I knew as a child which earns him this spot so high
August 6, 20177 yr Grievous to me sits alongside Boba Fett. Both really cool looking characters with intriguing back stories that had so much to offer the franchise but got pushed aside far too quickly and were killed too easily. Grievous wielded 4 lightsabres and though not a Jedi he should never have been killed the way he was. Remember that scene in Game Of Thrones where Ser Arthur Dayne takes on four guys? That's how Grievous should have gone down
August 8, 20177 yr Grievous to me sits alongside Boba Fett. That's how Grievous should have gone down In the original animated series Ki Adi and Ayala Secura and possibly Shaak Ti were in battle with him so I agree more people should have been there to take him down as Kenobi is fab but not that fab
August 8, 20177 yr I did love General Grievous, admittedly as a kid it was just cos he looked cool, had all the lightsabres and was really powerful when you were playing as him on the Playstation game :kink: I wish there was more to him though as he really felt largely unnecessay story-wise in ROTS.
August 8, 20177 yr General Grievous was awesome on the original Battlefront 2 back in 05. Loved that game.
August 8, 20177 yr Author General Grievous was awesome on the original Battlefront 2 back in 05. Loved that game. Never played that game but he's cool in pretty much everything to be honest *-* I loved playing as him on Lego Star Wars  Thanks for commenting T Boy!! Grievous to me sits alongside Boba Fett. That's how Grievous should have gone down I do kind of agree he was killed to easily, four lightsabers makes him a bit overpowered but then he got killed by just one Jedi so it makes him seem a bit less threatening. Still a very cool character though!! Thanks Severin!! In the original animated series Ki Adi and Ayala Secura and possibly Shaak Ti were in battle with him so I agree more people should have been there to take him down as Kenobi is fab but not that fab  Omg that sounds like such a wicked battle, never seen that before but I'll have to search for it. All of those are characters I love *-* Thanks Sean!! I did love General Grievous, admittedly as a kid it was just cos he looked cool, had all the lightsabres and was really powerful when you were playing as him on the Playstation game :kink: I wish there was more to him though as he really felt largely unnecessay story-wise in ROTS. Yeah, he's hardly the most important character ever but I've loved him ever since being a child and therefore he remains one of the coolest characters in the universe for me *-* Thanks Chez!!
August 8, 20177 yr Author 08. HAN SOLO - This isn't exactly a low placing but it's probably slightly lower than most people would have Han Solo. Arguably the franchises most iconic character, Han Solo is the smooth talker that EVERYBODY fell in love with when watching the original trilogy. He provides a lot of the laughs and is excellently portrayed by Harrison Ford, a role that suits him so perfectly. He is central to the main storyline and is a big part of why those films are such a success. He seemed a bit less into it in TFA but it was great fun to see him pop back in a Star Wars movie even if it was just for one film. http://33.media.tumblr.com/2b2f7bfbd65bad350113168c82ae1acf/tumblr_inline_mhxb4mW7zL1qz4rgp.gif 07. COUNT DOOKU - Dooku is probably a bit of an odd conclusion to have this high up but it's a character that I've always loved. Christopher Lee is easily one of my cast highlights in any Star Wars film yet and he suits this type of character so well. For someone who is quite an old character, he looks and fights like an absolute badass to the point where he is one of the most terrifying characters in the films. He's another character that has a great death scene too, there's something quite pleasing about seeing him get decapitated on his knees at the hands of Anakin, oops :heehee:
August 8, 20177 yr Author Oops Han was #8 and Dooku #7  Thanks!! Threepio, Leia, Yoda, Obi Wan, Palpatine and Vader are the top six !!
August 11, 20177 yr Author 06. C-3PO - Threepio is one of the most instantly recognisable Star Wars characters and it's not hard to see why considering he was one of only four characters to appear in the first six Star Wars movies (along with R2, Obi-Wan and Anakin Skywalker). He is mainly used as comic relief which is why he is one of my favourite characters, he's always around to provide a laugh with a great one liner. He probably has less influence on the plot of the films which is why he is slightly lower than those to come but I've always appreciated having him around as a bit of fun - droids are definitely more enjoyable when they can speak ! :heehee: 05. CHANCELLOR PALPATINE / DARTH SIDIOUS - Darth Sidious just makes the top five and is the second highest villain in the countdown. He used to give me nightmares as a child and it's not hard to see why when you see his withered skin and sallow eyes and hear his wicked cackle. I found it really interesting discovering his backstory in the prequels which made him one of the most enjoyable characters in those films. Whilst not being as prominent as Darth Vader (hence the lower placing), he makes a huge impact on the films and earns his placing this high up.
August 12, 20177 yr Omg that sounds like such a wicked battle, never seen that before but I'll have to search for it. All of those are characters I love *-* Thanks Sean!! v=xTnpqjJae-g About 1:12 onwards - I can't get over how retro the original series was! I love how Dooku made the top ten. Such a class character and Christopher Lee did a fantastic job of playing him!

Such a class character and Christopher Lee did a fantastic job of playing him! This isn't loading for me but is it this?. I googled it earlier after you mentioned and stumbled upon it and thought it must be what you meant. This is such a good clip though, I love how intimidating/unnerving Grievous is when he's hidden in the shadows at the beginning :drama: Thanks Sean for commenting
