March 19, 20187 yr OMFG this series is turning brillant - Is Simon like a Stalin figure??? I can't wait to see what happens with the inevitable Negan/Simon showdown. I really don't want Simon to die!
March 25, 20187 yr Forgot to talk about it here but I've been watching, absolutely loving 8B so far, so so much better than all of 7. Loving what's going on with Simon and the Saviours rn.
March 26, 20187 yr Author Not as good an episode tonight as they got stuck into the fight again straight away and I was struggling to follow the gun fights because it seemed like how could they not shoot Simon easy enough. The biological war was a bit like the fever in series 3!
April 3, 20187 yr Author Pity last nights episode was a bit of a filler although Jared got a great death. But they are building to the finale which should be great. I also can't wait to see Negan and Simons confrontation. Interesting to hear the history of Lucille also. The way the main leaders of the Saviours are dying I've a feeling that the finale could be the end of them with Negan moving into Ricks group and Simon being the Stalin figure and dying with the new characters slowly being introduced being the focus in series 9!
April 3, 20187 yr Another good episode! I can't believe how relevant they'd made Jadis. I assume Negan picked her up at the end? Booked walker stalker tickets for London next year :D
April 15, 20187 yr Author Really looking forward to this weeks finale of the season - think it'll be the end for the Saviours!
April 15, 20187 yr Was GUTTED about Simon :( But yeah, I'm really excited about the finale! Gonna have to avoid the internet pretty much all day tomorrow to avoid spoilers because I can't watch it until the night. Edited April 15, 20187 yr by _jase
April 16, 20187 yr Author Yeh Simon was a great character which makes me think tonight will be the end of the saviours. Tonight's will take a lot to be as good as last weeks with the Simon-Dwight situation which is the most interesting story imo.
April 16, 20187 yr Really enjoyed the finale. However, the thing that doesn't sit well with me is Daryl suddenly siding with Maggie as quick as that? Like, huh?! So I'm not sure how I feel about where that potential storyline is going.. :/
April 16, 20187 yr Author Yeh I enjoyed it too but as you say how have Maggie/Daryl now seem to be changing sides to start a civil war when their bond with Rick is surely so huge? Also Dwight - like what the hell??

I think it's a bit of a cheap twist really.
April 16, 20187 yr Loved the finale, actually didn't expect that from Eugene at all. Didn't expect it to all go down like that so quickly either, I'm so happy the Saviours storyline seems to have been wrapped up now, next season will hopefully feel much fresher and more of the focus will shift back to the walkers (although don't get me wrong, they did get lots of great moments this season too). Absolutely don't want to see infighting between Maggie/ Daryl and Rick/ Michonne, Jesus didn't seem like the kind of character to be in on something like that either. It seems out of character for Maggie to not even want to talk to Rick first either, or the fact she's blaming Michonne alongside him. It's not as if Rick's setting Negan free, isn't life imprisonment a fitting punishment for anyone? A shame to see Dwight go but at least he wasn't killed. Hopefully we'll see more of him and maybe even Sherry. I agree totally strange, I guess they are setting up some big Darryl vs Rick story as the end-game. I think it's a bit of a cheap twist really. Please no, I wouldn't find it believable. The fight they had earlier this season didn't make sense to me either and was one of the weaker moments for me.
April 17, 20187 yr Author By all accounts Maggie/Lauren hasn't signed a new contract yet so maybe this is her end game. Wasn't believeable on Jesus' part as he is all against violence this series!
April 17, 20187 yr I am sure they'll come to new agreements with Lauren and Danai (both of whom aren't happy with the whole equal pay thing iirc). You see Jesus, I don't know. I just took it that he was just listening to Maggie's advice/plan for now and not necessarily that he agreed to it as such (even if it is obvious that he will) Daryl is still the biggest "are you joking?" For me. I get Maggie's frustration (although I do think it is silly that there wasn't a moment between her and Rick talking about it at least)
April 17, 20187 yr Well Rick and Daryl have had their problems this season so I wasn't that surprised by him tbh! Gonna be super awkward if Lauren doesn't sign up for season 9 given what happened
April 19, 20187 yr Also if you are not watching it, you need to watch Fear The Walking Dead. Season 3 was better than the last 3 seasons of the original show and the latest premier of Season 4 is the best premiere I have seen for a while.
April 19, 20187 yr Echoing what Rooney said! I was apprehensive about continuing with Fear after the abomination that was the second season but season 3 was SO good! 4x1 was also brilliant.
April 19, 20187 yr Author I 'liked' the first two series of Fear so looking forward to the 3rd. Usually purchase the boxsets from amazon as I don't have BT - prob buy it in he coming weeks to keep me going over the summer.
