November 4, 20177 yr I just hope Mollie is ready for all the misogynistic hate she is going to get for a while for this.
November 4, 20177 yr They know they underscored Mollie to begin with, but also they know that even if they keep underscoring her, if she didn't the same slip up she did in her pivot, they would need to rate her 8s. On the other hand, the issue with Aston's dance was that his VW didn't look like a VW, and that was mostly due to Janette and a little bit of his technique (poor hold, lack of sway, etc). The fact she won is VERY FAIR, but a shocked nonetheless considering Aston was a favorite.
November 4, 20177 yr I was expecting 7,8,8,8 for Mollie’s dance even with the slip up. Same. She might survive next week, but she's gone in Week 9, I think. Could be bottom 2 next week as well, though, but she could survive it again.

November 5, 20177 yr Edited your post Lee to avoid potential spoilers! I am very shocked Aston has gone though, if these spoilers are correct. I haven't watched this series religiously but two weekends ago his performance was fantastic and thought he was a front runner with Alexandra and Debbie! Obviously it's great Mollie is still in but I feel she is on thin ice...
November 5, 20177 yr Author This is my first year really following Strictly and I have to say, what an absolute mess of a show it is. The public vote is obviously way too heavily weighted, some of the scores given seem absolutely ridiculous, and producers do seem to favor certain contestants. How does Mollie keep getting stuck with slots near the beginning of the show? Is that supposedly random because if so I'm not convinced? As for Mollie, I'm not too much of a loon to realize that she didn't deserve to stay over Aston. But I'm happy about it nonetheless. She is clearly getting next to NO votes though, to be middle of the leaderboard and still be in the bottom even after last week's scare says a lot. Surely she'll continue to be in the bottom each week unless she gets high enough on the leaderboard to compensate for the lack of votes. They may keep her a couple more times over someone like Ruth, but I see her luck running out very soon unless she kicks it into high gear.

The few times I've tuned in shes always been near the front of the running order and even in shows like X-Factor it is shaken up a bit. I'm not starting an Alexandra witch hunt here but I'm sure shes been second from last or last a few weeks in a row now?

And gone second twice. Strictly is very producer heavy in the ordering. They want a crowd pleaser to close the show.

No point starting an Alexandra witch hunt she is easily one of the best on the show.
November 5, 20177 yr tbf I’m sure I’ve read Alex’s dance has been the most watched 5 minutes of show for each of the past few weeks
November 5, 20177 yr Exactly  It's for ratings really, X Factor do it too. It's unfair to tear Alexandra down because of the slots she has just because Mollie isn't good enough lmao
November 5, 20177 yr Alexandra was first this week. No point starting an Alexandra witch hunt she is easily one of the best on the show. Politely read my message I said I wasn’t starting one  There is no denying she’s better than Mollie, and her scores reflect that!
November 5, 20177 yr Author It seems as though people are more irritated that Susan and Ruth continue to evade the bottom two rather than blaming Mollie for Aston leaving, so that's good.
November 5, 20177 yr I hope that Mollie survives to Blackpool. Just one more week. I hope she doesn’t get a backlash and does a great dance next week to show why she has been saved twice.
November 5, 20177 yr Author Those poor JLS/Sats fans. What are the odds of Mollie to win? She is now tied for 6th with 3/1 odds. I wonder if Mollie will pick up some of Aston's votes?
November 5, 20177 yr ^ Haha I highly doubt it. I just hope she doesn't suffer from a backlash because Aston did not deserve to go at all. I'm not saying Mollie did, she shouldn't even have been in the bottom two, (hello Susan, Ruth and Gemma), but Aston was easily in the top 3 best dancers on the show. I thought the judges were incredibly harsh to him this week, I mean seriously a 4 from Craig was appalling.
November 5, 20177 yr Author The Sun now has her as fifth favorite to win with odds of 16/1. A bit all over the place.
November 5, 20177 yr She's not 3/1  Depends on the bookie you use, but the best odds she has are 16/1.
