November 6, 20177 yr Guys, she's like 74% getting the Samba or the Rumba next week so they can get rid of her ass as quick as possible. Also, she will be first in the running order, let's be real. A 'Paso' would have been nice as it's been the breakout dance for everyone this series, I feel, but that ain't happening, I suppose.
November 6, 20177 yr The public vote is obviously way too heavily weighted, some of the scores given seem absolutely ridiculous, and producers do seem to favor certain contestants. How does Mollie keep getting stuck with slots near the beginning of the show? Is that supposedly random because if so I'm not convinced? In terms of the scoring system, I keep telling y'all, it's Craig giving people 2-4 for dances that he doesn't like, which is strange considering I'd think if everything was manipulated by production that the judges (if not the contestants themselves) would try to counteract that. Then again he's a dick so I'm not surprised at the slightest. Also, as someone who's following Strictly for the first time but has followed DWTS for the past few seasons, it might be producers favoring the pros rather than the contestants. As far as I can tell, the only ones getting votes are probably Alex/Debbie + Davood cuz why not. Otherwise it's pretty much favoritism towards Anton/Kevin and letting AJ know his place - he's a fairly new pro and probably developed a way too rabid fan base last year due to how far he got. Which is weird because I thought it might have been the opposite considering he's been getting quite well-known celebs or, in the case of Claudia, someone who would be a ringer. (I actually thought Claudia's trajectory was a replica of some other US gymnasts.) On the flipside, that's probably why production wants to keep Mollie. AJ might have a fanbase that attracts viewers, and they believe that added to however many Sats stans are left would be sufficient enough to keep ratings afloat if there was a shock elimination like that. Nikki Bella was pretty much treated the same (underscored dances, performance slots near the beginning) and she ended up getting the shaft through some ridiculous producer-created twist, so who's to say that Mollie won't get the same treatment?
November 6, 20177 yr I think Craig is actually the most honest and consistent with the scoring. Whilst Aston did a good dance. It was not anything like the style it should have been. Which is why he gave it a 4.
November 6, 20177 yr This is even being discussed on BBC Breakfast. It’s 2017, since when was everyone that into Strictly?

November 6, 20177 yr Mollie’s surprisingly doing the Paso Doble this week. Must have some dirt on the producers  Could still go wrong because she may lack the power for it, but it’s the most crowd-pleasing dance, and they get to be in hold a bit as well.
November 6, 20177 yr It’s the biggest show in television. One of yeah but didn’t expect it to be headlining!
November 7, 20177 yr This weeks song is Layla by Derek and the Dominoes, never heard of it lmao but I'm happy with a Paso!
November 7, 20177 yr One of yeah but didn’t expect it to be headlining! At the minute it is the biggest show on telly, it gets way more viewers than it's 'rival' X-Factor which is still a pretty big show. I get where you're coming from though the demographic was generally more mature so didn't lend to the 'headline grabbing' format of X-Factor.
November 8, 20177 yr The British public just love to moan really  In general people don't really seem to invest in the more "light" shows like Strictly or Bake Off as much as X Factor until something really goes wrong, and then they won't ever shut up about it (Liam coming 5th in Bake Off teas). To put into perspective, William Hill disclosed that not a single person bet on Aston to go this week, it's one of the biggest shock eliminations I've ever seen on reality TV as nobody would have even called him being bottom 2 let alone being eliminated! For NOBODY to call that elimination is a huge shock, so anyone who watches it is gonna have their opinion and there's 10 million watching it every week.
November 9, 20177 yr Author Did anyone else see them on It Takes Two this week? They talked about how previous contestants in the same situation as Mollie (survived dance off in Week 7) ultimately ranked and all three made it to the finals, with two of them winning the competition.

Yes, but really, Mollie's more akin to Daisy Lowe who was a bit middling as well, was bottom 2 in Week 5, then again in Week 6. She managed to survive a bit in Week 7. Then got eliminated in Week 8 when she found herself again in the bottom 2. This is what I'm expecting for Mollie too.
November 11, 20177 yr Don't forget little hoes to vote for Mollie for free on the BBC website. You need to register first, but it's rather simple.

I find it hilarious how bookies odds are used for the likes of Strictly / X Factor / Christmas #1 and quotes like "not a single person bet on Aston to go." I worked at William Hill for 8 years and I never once took a bet for Christmas #1, I took 1 bet for an X Factor winner and was asked the odds once for the Strictly winners but never took a Strictly bet. People don't bet on those things its all dogs, horses, football and grand national, with the occasional rugby, golf, tennis or olympic bet.
November 11, 20177 yr There is online though, I feel like this stuff is more likely to be "casual" betters online
November 11, 20177 yr AJ definitely seems to be hyping up their routine on social media week so I am hoping they've come back with a bit more oomph/confidence.
November 11, 20177 yr Author I think they'll need to get at least a 32/33 to evade the bottom this week. If they can't manage that then they better hope they are up against Ruth.
November 11, 20177 yr Yeah I think she really needs the boost as well, Paso is always a crowd pleaser but if she stagnates at 27-29 again then she's gonna be too low on the scoreboard to mke up for her getting fewer votes. Of course it depends on the others as well, an early 30s score could be like 4th on the scoreboard but equally Debbie, Alexandra and oe will definitely be above that and then it depends whether Davood or Gemma have a good or bad week (Gemma is due a good one she seems to fluctuate), ad Jonnie has the potential too. But it never seems that everyone smashes it so you never know, Mollie always seems to be the one coming out of it worst though
