I have to say the standard is so high this year. Aston and Alexandra fabulous again, thought Mollie's tango was awesome and Gemma's waltz was beautiful and elegant. Loved Jonnie's jive - I can see him turning into a contender based on that dance tonight. Poor Charlotte with that Cha Cha Cha though. I have a bad feeling she'll be in the first dance off tomorrow night. The overall standard this year is phenomenally high amongst everyone!

Omgggg Alex's Paso!!!!!!!!!!!!! That was bloody incred. A 12 point increase from week 1 to 2 (or any week) must be some kind of record? That floored me though, SO good. Gemma also really stepped it up tonight for me, last week was disappointing as I expected her to be great, but this week really fulfilled her potential imo. Alexandra, Debbie then Gemma were my top 3 but I also thought Jonnie was great ans I also can't help but love Ruth, I love that she's shit but just really gives it a go anyway and always fully enjoys herself. Davood was a tad disappointing with his Charleston and I cannot stand Aston.

I can see Chizzy, Brian and Simon being the main ones in trouble, I think Charlotte will be fine, being that low on the scoreboard and having a notable blip that she struggled with I can see people picking up the phone for her, I did feel sorry for her. She's got such potential but it threw her right off and just knocked her whole routine, I'm sure she'll bounce back if she does make it to next week.

I'm kinda shook at Alexandra's Paso? Haven't seen anything that impressive for a Paso since... maybe this?

Does Craig really find it necessary to score almost everybody below a 5 every single week?

- Alexandra was absolutely outstanding. Just give her the glitterball already! She has this in the bag. (I didn't actually love the routine in itself that much (a bit over packed, for a Paso), but GOD, did she deliver?! Amazing. I can't wait for next week.

- Davood keeps on getting overscored. Funny how that illegal lift didn't quite as matter, huh...

- Same for Susan. I know she's fun and adorable, and all, but it had no Swivel! COME ON. In a Charleston?!

- Gemma was cute, but the fact that she scored two marks higher than Alexandra's Waltz just shows how much Alexandra was undermarked last week I suppose. It was alright, but I find her quite forgetable. She's lucky she has Alijaz, he will take her far as he possibly can.

- I felt so bad for Charlotte throughout her whole dance. It literally lost its energy from the fifth second, so it was just painful to watch.

- Jonnie's Jive was great, wasn't it?

- Joe's Tango was poor. In fact, maybe slightly overscored (like...from one mark, so not a big deal lmao).

- Aston's Salsa was...surprisingly...not as good as I expected? Still amazing, and I don't think it was overscored or anything, but I would have given this a 32 even if it had happened in Week 5 or 6. Janette was great, sure, but Aston was very much only a 32.

- I've done a total 180 on Debbie, it's so weird... But her personality puts me off so much. She needs to tone it down, she's so cringe.

- A 4 for Mollie's Tango is ridiculous, even with an illegal lift in mind. Does that mean he would have originally scored this a 5 only? Or did he literally removed 2 to 3 points for a single illegal lift? I know they have rules, which the dancers have to respect, but it was hardly like AJ throwed her around his head for a spin or six, he just lifted her off the ground to swipe her a bit further down the dancefloor. It's a shame as it was probably one of my favorite moments of the routine.

I'm not trying to find her excuses, nor to blame AJ for everything, but I do feel like someone a bit more mature and experienced would have understood Mollie's weaknesses a bit better during Week 1 and would have done a routine that is suited to her, and obviously, this week, wouldn't have put a lift in a Tango.

They can only get better and up from here on now, which is good as well, but it's really frustrating.

Chizzy and Pasha went home tonight. Really shocked by that result, didn't think it was her time to go at all, definitely thought Brian should've gone!

Movie week next week. Susan is apparently going to be Wonder Woman for her dance! Can't wait to see that!

I wasn't shocked really, as I said I expected her, Simon or Brian to be in the bottom 2 but it's a shame nonetheless, I felt she had a lot more to give than Brian and just had a pretty disappointing week with that dance.

The standard for this series is already really high. I'm really enjoying it.

I thought the Reverend would go tonight. I thought he deserved to. I was sad to see Pasha go out with Chizzy (although I admit I had no idea who she was before last weekend).

My favourite so far is Alexandra. I think Gemma could be one to watch as the series progresses.

Movie week dances and songs revealed: https://twitter.com/bbcstrictly/status/915270238425321472

I am so excited about Susan and Kevin's Wonder Woman samba to the point I have been walking around for the last day or so singing, in a really high pitched voice 'WONDER WOMAAAAAN'. Ruth is doing the first rumba of the series although she said she's not loving it on 'It Takes Two' on Tuesday...Aston and Janette's Cha Cha Cha should be good. I hope they get coloured wigs like Trolls!

You and my mom have that in common :P

I don't get the style choices for most of these songs :drama: With some pairs they make sense (CSTF, the disco samba), and others feel like they pulled them out of a hat.

Aston knocked it out of the park tonight. Best dance of the night! Great dances from Joe, Debbie and Alexandra too!

Loved Aston and Janette's Cha Cha Cha! And Susan and Kevin delivered everything I hoped for and more with the 'Wonder Woman' samba.

The stand off between Shirley and Brendan was quite awkward. I didn't think it professional of Brendan to call her an 'old dear' but by the same token she has come down exceptionally hard on Charlotte and a few others - Ruth for one - where it's not warranted, or rather where it could be delivered more constructively. Bruno even seems to be a bit harsher this year which he never used to be!

Shirley's getting on my tits a bit, she is really harsh on some but then ignores mistakes by others, she always seems to score Simon higher than the other judges for example

Aston was technically the best last night but I still rally can't take to him. I much prefer watching Alexandra, Gemma and Jonnie for example.

Apparently Gemma is dating Gorka so her and Alex have beef  Dramz.

I hope neither of them end up looking awful out of this, I think Gemma's dancing has the potential to see her emerge as a real contender. Rewatched her Charleston and it was SO good, totally different to last week's Waltz and even better than it! I can see her or Jonnie maybe winning? Probably the latter, but I feel like Aston has peaked too early and I can't see the public taking to Alexandra as much as some of the others :(

Gorka is , so no surprise if they are fighting over him.

I feel like I'm having flashbacks to when I was 15 and a full on JLS stan hoping they'd win over Alexandra. Aston is once again my stand out favourite and again I think it'll be one of the two who wins.

Brendan and Shirley was slightly awkward, but I did slightly love it. Shirley has shown herself to be very inconsistent and I did like seeing someone stand up to her. Although, that'll probably end up costing Charlotte now

Simon and Reverend Richard in dance off, Reverend Richard went home. I liked him actually and thought he was a real character and good partnership with Dianne so sad to see him go. Actually thought his Paso was better tonight than last night!
Not sad to see Richard go, I didn't find him entertaining at all really and he was comfortably the worst dancer.
