right, I've changed them. though I don't see what's particularly objectable - everyone gives their opinions on songs on here and it was quite obvious which songs I was referring to :')

if you're really that bothered about me changing the names of two songs then I shan't bother posting the updates at all lol

To be fair, I guessed #3 and couldn't quite work out for the life of me what #20 was supposed to be.

I don't see the problem if you're the ones posting them then give as many opinions as you like. People take things too seriously on here

This. Jesus some people are so ridiculous. We know you don't like the song so stop banging on about it.

So are you for or against the name changes as the first sentence contradicts the second sentence

lol at no point was it ever a Hot Hit, let alone accessible for the streaming generation

If it was given a chance it definitely would have been, it topped iTunes!

mdh, you used to really like "Shape Of You" and "Despacito", what happened?

overplay made me sick of them. same happens with most songs unfortunately, I guess hearing them everywhere just got on my nerves.

That's the problem. For radio, avoid the commercial stations... avoid TV channels because all they do is play the '20 hottest songs right now' or whatever.

Haha. You're posting the chart for people who may not have access to Spotify and it's a chart that many of us only follow occasionally/when we're interested in a certain song doing well etc.. if you're gonna take the responsibility of taking on a chart like this in a chart forum, at least try not to be too immature about it

Of course you can have your opinions on certain songs, but as someone else said it wasn't quite that obvious as to what you were referring to. Especially when just a couple of weeks or so ago you were loving 'Despacito'...

I appreciate the time and effort it takes to post these charts, but for people who don't frequent these threads, maybe it's best to not just include them in that big update? I genuinely thought the big updates were helpful and useful for people like myself who don't post too much in this thread.

Give mdh a break lol if you don't want his opinions then post the chart for yourself or alternatively just check spotify.

I hate Despacito as well, I just think it's immature personally.

Don't try and act like a peacekeeper on here when you usually try and rile people up either.

Chill out pal. Lmao. You get so defensive over stuff that doesn't concern you

Where did I say I didn't want his opinion? I've explained why and hopefully mdh understands that I didn't mean for it to offend him. As long as he understands thats all I'm bothered about.

Moving on - it is incredible just how certain songs can command such longevity at the top of the streaming charts. It is really quite different to how download charts and sales charts used to be. 20 years ago number 1s sometimes struggled to even spend 2 months in the chart!

I try to update as many songs as possible, and both me and Dan have always posted relevant climbers due to the weekend effect, but since nobody is particularly bothered about songs that're on ACR anyway and making a minor movement up the chart, I didn't think it'd hurt to make a light-hearted comment that the general consensus agrees with. (also the last time I played Despacito out of choice was the 18th May :P)

Sorry for making the comment, and sorry for coming across arrogant. I won't post my opinions like that again.

Hi this may seem like a stupid question but I was just wondering, when for example it says ua Lipa - New Rules [391k] is that 391k figure the amount of streams the song received on Sunday? :)
Wow, mature.

They're both incredible songs anyway :cheer:

Yep, it's the streams she received in the UK from 00.00-23.59 on Sunday :D
