It’s actually holding up a lot better on US itunes than their songs usually do (it only just this week fell into the 400s), which shows it could very easily climb if the airplay picks up. It’s also doing better on radio than their past singles did. None of them got this much airplay before impact which tellls me either Columbia finally got their act together or it’s responding very well with listener surveys or Shazam in the areas that are playing it. Obviously we all know how this usually turns out but there’s no harm in some optimism, especially when this is outdoing the ones before.

This is starting to do something worldwide! I'm so happy. They should perform it on X Factor.

It's not doing any different than how Touch or Shout out to my ex started out in the Usa.They were both in the top 50 airplay before the adds date.A typical Little Mix song peaks in the low 40's on Usa airplay then drops ,hopefully things will be different this time. They have no problem getting in the top 50.The problem is getting a big Usa hit or a Usa hit with longevity.

Shout Out entered the Top 50 a day before its impact date. Reggaeton Lento is #50 on the Building Chart today, over a week before its impact date. The switch to Touch was announced on February 6th with presumably immediate impact at pop radio as it never got an impact date. It took it a whole month to debut on the chart. The remix impacted rhythmic the next week and got like 2 adds and never charted.

I never said it was lighting the radio on fire. I said it was doing better, which it is. Its not doing as well as Shout Out was doing on iTunes but Shout Out had had a couple of promo slots by that point while Reggaeton Lento has had none and is still even with Touch's iTunes performance when the girls were in America performing the song for thousands of people every night.

Obviously, the timing is awful and its only got a couple days left on Todays Top Hits which will effectively kill its US streaming because it wouldn't be re-added. I didn't say it'd be a hit, only that it was performing better than usual and better than I expected.

EDIT: I see now that I missed a few random dates where they popped in and then immediately fell back out. I was originally only looking at the official published charts on Sundays, not the rolling 7 day ones. I still believe RL's current trajectory (74-59-52), thats its achieved with no promo and pretty much no US hype, is a good sign of good listener response to the song.

I can't stop listening to mash-ups with this in recently. It works surprisingly well with Power <3.

Wait, how do you know this?

This has entered Top 20 on Shazam WW, it gained like 140k the past week.

They should've just gone with this for the re-release lead and properly invested in it video and promo wise. Potential's clearly there...
Oooh, 103.5 KTU (the second biggest US station on Mediabase) played the song yesterday and Jade was also on Smallzy (Australian station) a while ago. If they're going to release a new single, why are they doing this?

It's not the 2nd biggest radio station. The top 2 Usa radio stations are Z100 New York and KIIS Los Angeles.https://www.cision.com/us/2012/04/top-10-top-40-u-s-radio-stations/u u

Wait, how do you know this?

It’s not a guaranteed thing but it’s 49/50 on the playlist. Usually when new songs get added, it’s the ones on the bottom that get removed. It has gotten a few random boosts though so maybe someone is working behind the scenes to keep it on.

Nice that the song already entered the US top 50 a week before the impact.

Hope the song rises on streams and sales soon!

Okay, now they need to spend a lil more $$$ on Spotify and put the song at least to #20-ish on TTH.
KIIS FM Los Angeles played this 8 times this week!! I looked on mediabase and saw all the stations that spun it last week. Not sure if Kiss FM Los Angeles is an add or maybe it's just test spins? This station is the #2 station in the Usa.

This has reached 900K (+20K in one day) shazams! Wig.
#5 in the midweeks and so tight between #3 and #5, would be amazing if it could snatch a new peak so far into its chart life.
