October 23, 20177 yr This documentary just needs to win all of the awards really. Absolutely INCREDIBLE.
October 24, 20177 yr I really hope it cleans up at the awards but that's probably just wishful thinking!...
October 24, 20177 yr Just finished watching - what a fascinating and eye-opening watch! Very emotional at times but plenty of fun, goofy Gaga moments too. I loved watching the scenes of her and Mark recording in the studio; it felt so old-school and authentic, with the music really being at the heart.
October 29, 20177 yr I still LIVE FOR the Bad Romance version she sings at Tony Bennett's birthday party.
June 17, 20187 yr She won the award for best documentary at the MTV Movie & TV Awards tonight and presented the award for Best Movie. Black Panther won.
June 19, 20187 yr Here's her speech for winning the award and her presenting the award for best film: https://twitter.com/MTVAwards/status/100890...7312342016?s=19
May 17, 20205 yr I just watched this again this afternoon!! One part she says to Mark Ronson YOU’RE MY FAVOURITE!! Always notice new things on rewatches of this like at the start she’s just mentioning A Star Is Born has been approved and she’s set to star in it. And at the end when she’s about to head to do the super bowl she gets flowers from Taylor! Swear that part went right over my head at first. But such a good watch! The part where she meets her fan and surprises her is
May 17, 20205 yr I've watched it like 6 times lol I'm not sure if it's chronological in the picture but I believe the opening scene is from May/June 2016 because she and Taylor broke up "officially" in July. She was officially announced to star on ASIB in August 2016.
May 17, 20205 yr The scene where she's laid out crying in pain really got to me and I've been reluctant to revisit this ever since :( Which is a shame because it's an absolutely brilliant piece of work.
May 17, 20205 yr The scene where she's laid out crying in pain really got to me and I've been reluctant to revisit this ever since :( Which is a shame because it's an absolutely brilliant piece of work. It is very difficult at parts, but I guess we know that following on from this she had the humongous ASIB era and so that's comfort for the viewing!
November 28, 20204 yr I'm intrigued to watch this again today but probably won't until tomorrow or next week. How many times you have watched it? I have maybe 5 or 6.
November 28, 20204 yr Ooh yes it's perfect for holidays now that there are not much movies in theatres.
October 16, 20213 yr Sooo... Joanne era turns 5 this autumn - perfect time to revisit this as well as it goes through her songwriting and recording sessions of Joanne. It's still on Netflix!! If you haven't watched it yet, do it now, it's very insightful and good peek of what it's like to be an artist of her calibre. https://www.netflix.com/fi/title/80196586
May 7, 20223 yr I am rewatching this currently and am a mess lmao. It makes the Joanne era make so much sense.
May 8, 20223 yr I have watched it so many times that I can still remember how it goes from scene to scene, but maybe I should revisit it again.
