November 30, 20177 yr 'I Begin to Wonder' would have been Top 5 without the -1 but it's at least not been cost of the #1 position! (P.S I hope you don't mind but I've been added as a mod for the AF! I did want to message you beforehand but your inbox is full) Congrats! :yahoo:
December 1, 20177 yr 'I Begin to Wonder' is another favourite of mine. I think I remember seeing the video on TV as a kid so there's a bit of nostalgia there, although I've got to say now I find Dannii's hair extensions absolutely atrocious! You can see her natural bob underneath. Congrats! :yahoo: Thank you!
December 2, 20177 yr 'I Begin To Wonder' was the song that made me sit up and take notice of Dannii, to this day it remains my absolute favourite of hers. (Mind you, I was about 14 when that came out and still less than a year into to my proper Kylie mega-fandom). Edited December 2, 20177 yr by Tawdry Hepburn
December 3, 20177 yr OL60yQVFYFI 07 (07) 8.14 Don't Wanna Lose This Feeling Final song released from Neon Nights, 'Don't Wanna Lose This Feeling' in fact has Madonna credited as a co-song writer. Madonna's crediting led to a mash-up of both this song and her own hit 'Into the Groove' being officially issued, having been inspired by many of the bootleg recordings that had been made in the UK. 'Don't Wanna Lose This Feeling' was another UK Top 5 for Dannii - only her fourth to do so.
December 5, 20177 yr The original is fine, but so pales in comparison to the majestic 'Groove' version.
December 7, 20177 yr g1m-8PvpSBw 06 (01) 8.5 This Is It The only song from her pre-'All I Wanna Do' career to appear in the Top 10, 'This Is It' takes a bit of a tumble from the #1 position it reached back in the countdown a few year back. Still a well regarded song, it is in fact a cover of a 1976 disco song originally performed by Melba Moore, which reached #9 in the UK. The song was a hit for Dannii too, reaching #10 in the UK and spending 20 weeks in the Australian charts, despite its peak of #13.
December 9, 20177 yr pEoSutwUndM 05 (04) 8.59 Disremembrance 'Disremembrance' was Dannii's last charting song of the 90s in the UK, just missing out on a spot on the Top 20. Despite its peak, it has gone on to be a big fan favourite and one of Dannii's most critically lauded, with many complementing the mix of trance beats and orchestral strings. The extended mix is such a treat if you're a fan of the song already.
December 9, 20177 yr My absolute favourite by her, it's a pleasure to listen to. The production is fantastic, and I also enjoy the ethereal lyrics
December 13, 20177 yr hULUa9IecTo 04 (11) 9 Put the Needle On It Taking a significant jump from where it placed in the countdown a few years back, 'Put the Needle On It' was the lead single from Neon Nights. It received great praise from critics who applauded its 80s-inspired disco mixed with a contemporary edge, even compared to some of Madonna's work. It was a chart success in more places around the world than Dannii had previously received, helped by her feature on the previous years' 'Who Do You Love Now?', including Top 10 in the UK and #11 in Australia, the same peak as 'All I Wanna Do'.
December 13, 20177 yr This has grown to be one of my favourite Dannii singles. Feels like it could slot quite nicely onto Kylie's Body Language - wonder if Kylie took a bit of inspiration from Dannii?
December 17, 20177 yr xxw8HgfGVQM 03 (05) 9.41 All I Wanna Do 'All I Wanna Do' marked a reinvention for Dannii, adopting a sexier and blonde image to match a more dance-inspired sound. Dannii joined forces with Brian Higgins, who would go on to co-write Cher's 'Believe' and found the Xenomania production group who created a string of hits for Girls Aloud, and together they gave Dannii her highest peaking single in the UK at the time. The song remains Dannii's best selling in the UK and set the mold for future releases.
December 29, 20177 yr y40VEXpR0xM 02 (03) 9.45 Who Do You Love Now? Arguably the Dannii song the most amount of people would recognise, 'Who Do You Love Now?' extends on the dancier sounds of her Girl album and cemented her position in the club world. The song is produced by Dutch DJs Gaston Steenskist and René ter Horst under the alias Riva; a duo that also had chart success with 'Give It Up' as The Good Boys (UK #5 in 1993) and 'I Wanna Be U' as Chocolate Puma (UK #6 earlier in 2001). It gave Dannii her biggest worldwide hit, charting in many European countries that she hadn't before, including Top 3 in the UK. TWZZyJxCjMU 01 (02) 9.55 You Won't Forget About Me We reach our winner! Originally an instrumental titled 'Flower Power' that had been a hit in Ibiza, Dannii was approached by All Around the World Records to write and perform lyrics. After being won over by the track, Dannii agreed to supply lyrics that she had been working on to create 'You Won't Forget About Me', a song that refers to a summer romance. The song marked Dannii's last appearance in the UK Top 10 but clearly she went out on a high.
December 29, 20177 yr All I Wanna Do - my first introduction to Dannii, as it was played regularly on MTV Europe at the time. Still a massive song with a great video. Also who had internet that fast back then? Haha Who Do You Love Now - radio stations here seemed to go with the instrumental for a while, which pissed me off since I wanted to finally hear Dannii on portuguese radio. This also got a lot of support from MTV Europe and dare I say it, its the best she's ever looked in a video, so hot! Definitely her breakthrough hit in many euro countries You Wont Forget About Me - a very good piece of house music but a tad overrated imo, as I feel the songs below it are a lot better. I also remember a lot of people back then were pinning this as her long deserving first #1 hit, but alas, it completely underperformed and was beaten to the top by Ja Rule of all people with a song nobody remembers today. December 30, 20177 yr I think YWFAM is a decent winner, although these results have been overall painful.
December 31, 20177 yr 'You Won't Forget About Me' and 'Who Do You Love Now?' are the two songs I am most familiar with so I'm pleased they made the Top 2, although I've got to say this countdown has really allowed me to get into and really love a lot of her others. 'Put the Needle On It', 'All I Wanna Do', 'Disremembrance', 'So Under Pressure', 'Don't Wanna Lose This Feeling' are all great, plus I'm liking her earlier music like 'This Is It' and 'Baby Love'. May have to invest in a Dannii compilation!

January 1, 20187 yr You won't forget about me is well-deserved. The video is her best, not one of the best, but the best.
