What's so bad about this? Sam's label have used their initiative and realised they need playlists on their side. We've known for ages that payola's part of the playlist situation and we're always complaining when a big hit isn't added to Hot Hits UK etc, so what's so bad about a label actually realising how to use this to their advantage? :P

Yeah, it's great imo that more newies are being added to big playlists - it speeds up the chart turnover at the top.

I personally see it as big labels buying the @1 instead of playing the game

Sure Pink would also had been @1 if she had had the same treatment on Spotify

There are much better songs that are totally ignored cos the artist doesnt have the big cash behind

But thats my opinion

431K for Sam Smith doesn't seem like much when you factor the super promo he has
sam smith is also #2 in the US, which is more surprising, didn't realise he was big there too
He very much is - 'Stay With Me' peaked at #2 and went 7x platinum. 'I'm Not The Only One' and 'Lay Me Down' also went top 10.

I believe Sam will have like a 30% slump tomorrow like Taylor did. But his downloads are too good. He mus freefall there not to get a number one officially.
