Yeh I wouldn’t expect to know many people on other celeb shows (although Dancing With the stars seems to do very well I think!) but I just expected slightly more for a what so far appears to be a one-off and for a show that is actually still doing quite well after 19 normal series. If it returned for other years, of course I wouldn’t expect to know anyone. I think the short time scale for the series possibly gave me false hope too :kink:

Idk if maybe it'll be the other way round and if this does well they'll get bigger names? :lol: But you're right it's a successful format already it just has celebrities now instead so you'd think it would be in better stead.

I remember it was around the same with DWTS, barely anyone but their core audience knew anyone until they started pulling from Disney Channel. I’d reckon it’s the same thing.

Weirdly enough the celebrity edition of Worst Cooks Of America (from the Food Network) had a cast list with bigger names so the factors are unknown. I think it’s just a “testing the waters” thing.

Thinking about it, I wonder if the live feeds would have put off a lot of celebs? Especially in this day and age where one small action/comment can erupt into something big and career damaging.

Most of these are recognizable names for American viewers and I'd say it's comparable to a Dancing With The Stars cast list, so "diabolical" is a bit of an OTT reaction. Like Liam said, I'd definitely be clueless with most of the UK CBB/I'm A Celeb casts so it'd be stupid of me to complain about that :lol:

True, I keep forgetting we have feeds as well :lol: I mean look at the hideous reputation some of the normal people can easily get, if I was a known big name I'd be so worried about like slipping and making a joke and killing my career.

Not sure what I think of this recasting twist, it just rendered that whole half an hour of the show that was wasted on the HOH comp moot and pointless, but we'll see how it goes.

I stayed away from this topic and rumours.. the only two I knew that were going in were Omarosa (it was front page news here in Canada, she's being paid $1 Million Dollars) & Brandi because I follow a lot of the Housewives Chatter.

The only other ones I really knew were Shannon (DUH), Mark and of course, Ross.

 

This has the potential to be AMAZING.

Of course Omarosa won Immunity. I actually think she could do very well. Better than Brandi apparently.

 

Hope Shannon isn't over-thrown. I really want a guy (Metta or James) to go this week.

Yeah, shorter season, but on all the time with some double episode. We need some Double Evictions. Can you imagine this cast in a Double Eviction scenario?

I really really dislike Brandi, she was awful on the UK version so I shouldn't be surprised that she seems just as bad on this :')

 

Cast seems decent, it's my first impressions on all the rest of them but my favourites so far are Omarosa (omg she's gonna be so extra isn't she), Marissa, Ross and Shannon. Not sure why James is public enemy #1, he seems perfectly pleasant :lol:

Omarssa, Ross, Shannon, James and Marissa are my faves so far.

 

Brandi will probs be a disappointment again :lol:

Very good nominations I have to say.

James comes across as pretty self-absorbed, getting on my nerves already but I'd hate to see him evicted first. I'm kinda hoping someone gets backdoored.

 

I've genuinely never watched Omarosa in any show prior to this one...I'm very fascinated to say the least! She seems to be effortlessly good TV.

OK now I'm seeing why James is grinding everyone's gears :kink:
