Speaking to Billboard, the star also known as Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta said she was planning to take a rest and "slow down for a moment" for some healing. "It doesn't mean I don't have some things up my sleeve," she added. Gaga also got emotional speaking to reporters about her health, saying: "it's hard, but it's liberating too." Just because she's on a music break, doesn't mean Gaga isn't working on other projects — like her Netflix documentary Gaga: Five Foot Two, which she was promoting when she announced her rest. The documentary follows the last year (or so) in the star's life, covering the build-up to her Super Bowl LI performance and the medical procedures she underwent to help her deal with the chronic pain she suffered. September 9, 20177 yr Author She'll still release songs I assume (like The Cure) and i'm all for her having a mental/personal rest because this past year has been CRAZY for her with the films, documentaries, superbowl, TOUR etc. Enough to tire out anyone let alone someone that just released an album! JUST PLEASE DON'T DISAPPEAR OFF THE FACE OF THE EARTH :(

Most artists take an 18 month maximum break in between eras to finish up the tour, make some appearances, and then rest and gear up for the next era. With the Super Bowl/Coachella/tour all wrapped up in one to finish off this current era, it would be nice for her.
