Having spent much of my weekend ogling Calvin, I was inspired to make this thread about his work with Kylie. I also stumbled across an interview from around his 18 Months era where he credited her for launching a bidding war between labels.

...one of the biggest pop stars of our generation."

He went on to produce and co-write two songs on X, the hit single In My Arms (which is growing on me guys)

preppy cheerleader anthem Heartbeat Rock

He also helped pen and produced Too Much from Aphrodite

So, which song is the best of the bunch? And would you like them to work together again?

I've just discovered he produced Love Is The Drug too

I need her to feature on one of his songs

That's what I was really willing to happen in 2014 when she could have done with that and he was so massive. Like, it'd have been nice of him to return the favour.

I still dont think its to too late for a Kylie feature on a Calvin track, it would need to happen soon though if its going to happen.

A few features with artists able to get hits would do Kylie good right now.

I wouldn't say that per say  he just tends to pick more current singers which is fair enough. He was pretty much a huge name by the time he produced on Aphrodite

and lets not forget he worked with Sophie Ellis Bextor.

Can't say I'm fussed about Kylie working with Calvin Harris again. In my arms was mediocre but not strong enough to be a single in my opinion. I don't like heartbeat rock but too much was probably the best of the bunch. Compared to other artists like Rihanna and Ellie Goulding, the Kylie tracks seem pretty inferior. However, a Kylie - Calvin Collaboration could help raise Kylie's profile again and generate a substantial hit if the material was strong enough.

I suppose the differences being that he was just starting out when he worked with Sophie (and this was 10 years ago when she was a bit of a bigger name), and Kylie was considered a huge name before Aphrodite.

True, but I guess he was just exploring with other artists, and TBF he did do a fair few songs for Kylie. Besides, as nice as a new song would be, there's no way it'd be

a hit and might damage his credibility a bit.

I'm quite surprised we never got a 'Calvin Harris feat. Kylie Minogue' track too. Artists often "repay the favour" so to speak and I'd have thought a collaboration with Calvin on lead crediting would be a triumph; an all-out summery banger that would have kept Kylie's name out there.

I'd still be interested in hearing a collaboration between the two now though, what with Calvin's move into more funky, post-disco sounds; I feel like this could play to Kylie's strengths and associate her with something fresh and exciting (as much as I like most of Kiss Me Once, it's undeniable that it was generally Kylie-by-numbers).

What's everyone else's thoughts?
