Here, Spiceworld is at #71 with 21,620,000 sales and Spice at #42 with 28,460,000 sales worldwide...

It is so frustrating that we have the variable amounts mentioned across sales sites, wikipedia and their own press releases...

Often, sales for the albums are posted as:

Spice - either 23, 28 or 30million

Spiceworld - either 14, 17 or 20/21 million

I was a bit shocked that the Spice25 and Spiceworld25 campaigns reverted the album sales back to the 1999 standards (23 for Spice, 14 for Spiceworld) where we know they have sold more than that since....

Let's see what amounts the Spice30 campaigns bring forwards LOL watch it be the same old 1999 ones too

Last sales update from 2 years ago for Wannabe in the US were 6.8million. Maybe about 7.5 million now! That's both physical and downloads/streaming sales.

  • According to 100 best selling albums of the 90s book in the USA, Spice is the 38th best selling album with 10,150,000 sales in the USA.

  • First page updated with Welsh chart peaks.

From matthew on Spice Circle:

"I was given a list of the top 1000 physical selling singles of all time worldwide and amazingly all the Spice Girls 90's singles made it in the top 1000 list:

1. Wannabe (#37)

2. Say you’ll be there (#181)

3. 2 become 1 (#224)

4. Spice up your life (#304)

5. Goodbye (#331)

6. Too Much (#432)

7. Viva Forever (#647)

8. Mama / Who do you think you are (#734)

9. Stop (somewhere between 905-1000)"

He also states the following worldwide sales:

"Apparently this is worldwide physical and digital download sales up to 2017, it doesn't include streaming or any other sales since then:

1. Spice [22 million]

2. Spiceworld [14 million]

3. Forever [1.2 million]

4. The Greatest Hits [1.4 million] – 38.6 million

1. Wannabe [7.5 million]

2. Say you’ll be there [3.1 million]

3. 2 become 1 [2.9 million]

4. Mama / Who do you think you are [1.6 million]

5. Spice up your life [2.7 million]

6. Too much [1.8 million]

7. Stop [1.3 million]

8. Viva forever [1.5 million]

9. Goodbye [2.3 million]

10. Holler / Let love lead the way [700,000]

11. Headlines [120,000] - 25.5 million singles

TOTAL: 64 million sales.

More updated info on album sales:

"Apparently that may not be including downloads as they also revealed these album figures for 2026 including everything:

1. Spice (31,900,000)

2. Spiceworld (17,200,000)

3. Forever (1,600,000)

4. The Greatest Hits (2,100,000) – 52.8 million albums"

Sounds more like it to be honest.... Forever and GH being so low is a CRIME though!!

If only Spiceworld had been in print all these years.... it hasnt been in print on anything other than vinyl since 2002 and they have only paid it dust! URFGH

How do we see this list of the best selling singles Mr.X? Those physical sales do sound very accurate.

I dont know, I guess the list of best selling singles sound correct as hell!

The sales lists also sound ok but maybe a bit too low as Spice had been on at least 23million since before 2017 and that Wannabe figure also sounds too low, same with some of the other singles...
