Posted March 3, 201213 yr Jessica Lange, Zachary Quinto & Evan Peters are all returning for Season 2 as different characters with Lange's character being in the centre of it all. I know of some people who think Ryan Murphy has trouble maintaining a show to a really good standard after the first season but I think he knows what he's doing here getting those three back on board.
March 3, 201213 yr Hmmmm, I tend to think that maybe they should just do completely different stories in different locales in America... I believe first season was LA..? Why not do New Orleans, Chicago, Boston, or other cities in subsequent seasons..? That would make it more apt with regards to the title of the show...
March 3, 201213 yr Author I believe the second season is going to be set somewhere on the East Coast on America.
March 3, 201213 yr I'm still not sure how it'll work with them coming back in a completely different setting, as completely different characters and what not. Going to watch it though and can't wait for it, naturally! Glad that Jessica and Evan are definitely coming back though! They were the serious highlights of the first season for me.
March 3, 201213 yr Oh YAY, they brought back the 3 best actors, now for more brooding Evan Peters hotness *.*
March 3, 201213 yr Glad to hear Evan Peters is back :D Strangely hoping Ashley Rickards makes an appearance somewhere with him just to relive OTH fandom. I'm intrigued about Jessica Lange's character in the new season although I'm slightly worried about where Ryan Murphy is going to take it.
April 19, 201213 yr Author "[season two]is set on the East Coast at an institution for the criminally insane that is run by Jessica," Murphy said Wednesday night. "It's a completely different world and has nothing to do with season one, there's not a mention of season one. The second season is set in a completely different time period." Jessica Lange running a mental institution could not sound anymore fabulous. Adam Levine is going to be in this season too.
June 8, 201213 yr New season starts in October, so didn't want to start a new thread so early. But I am getting more and more impatient waiting for this! I need it back in my life, pronto! :( (Season one DVD isn't out until October either! :manson:) We already know that Season 2 of "American Horror Story" will include some familiar faces from Season 1, but they will not be in the same place, at the same time, or playing the same characters. Creator Ryan Murphy previously revealed that the sophomore season of the divisive FX series will be set in an insane asylum. But in a recent interview with Vulture, in which he discussed everything from his personal life to his other series "Glee" and next season's NBC comedy "The New Normal," Murphy spilled some more details about Season 2. "The new season is set in the 1960s and Chloe Sevigny, for example, plays a character who was put in an asylum because she was a woman who likes sex," Murphy told Vulture in the in-depth interview. "At the time, you were able to put people away for that. Another character is institutionalized for being a lesbian. To me, there’s nothing more scary than somebody coming to you and saying they’re going to take you away and put you in a mad house and you have no legal rights and there you shall stay till the end of your days. That is a real horror." Though there were no further details Season 2 star Jessica Lange, Murphy did reveal that Evan Peters, who played "ultimate badass bad boy" Tate Langdon, will be "the hero of the show" in Season 2. "It’s not like the actors are playing similar parts. They’re going to look different, they’re going to sound different, they’re going to have different accents," Murphy explained to Vulture. "It’s a different time period. The actors are so excited to do that and hopefully their enthusiasm will translate." In addition to Lange and Peters, Season 1 stars Zachary Quinto, Lily Rabe and Sarah Paulson will be back for Season 2. Sevigny, Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine and James Cromwell will also join the "American Horror Story" cast for Season 2. A relatively unknown French actress named Lizzie Brocheré will be playing a femme fatale named Gia. And although Season 2 hasn't even started yet, Murphy is thinking ahead. "I even know what the third season would be," he said. "There are very, very many different kinds of haunted houses in our culture."
August 18, 201212 yr I'm genuinely terrified! So looking forward to this. Looks like it has a lot of potential already
September 6, 201212 yr Last week I watched all of Season 1 and I'm addicted! I can't wait for series 2.
