but yeah creating an evil twin character as well as two looks from scratch could've been more light hearted and funny

Lip Sync for your Life was Asia vs Kameron and KAMERON won, Eureka vs Aquaria and EUREKA & AQUARIA won, it was a double chanté. Monet Xchange won Miss Congeniality. Aquaria heavily rumoured to have won, but people are also saying Eureka too. If Eureka has won, I get that she has fans, but she is honestly the most unlikeable queen on Drag Race I've ever seen. I'll be devastated if she's won.

 

Don’t they record different versions of the winner being announced to hide spoilers so would account for the different people rumoured to have won

It's so annoying how fake the whole thing is. I hope they do it live at some point. Last year with the semifinal lip syncs it was clear the reactions were real but the actual finale was as fake as Kim Kardashian's everything.

The show is becoming a bit of a mess in terms of the twists, and juries and lip syncs for crown etc. I still obviously enjoy it but I preferred it when it catered to a more cult audience and didn’t try to please the masses so much.

 

I feel like the show really broke down Cracker in an unnecessary way. I just don’t get how they critiqued Cracker so harshly on her voiceover when Aqua’a were so surface level and she wasn’t clocked. Untucked wasn’t a sad watch.

I'm definitely in the minority but I'm really glad Kameron is still in it. I think there's something really likeable about her, and I thought she looked great last week. Eureka on the other hand - good lord above, that good twin outfit, sheesh.

 

Kameron is also a really good performer. Thought she was great in the Cher challenge and her lip syncs have been brilliant. I'd much rather see her at the very end of this than Eureka.

Kameron is one of the sweetest drag contestants there’s ever been, there’s no denying that. But I also think hes added very little to the competition overall.

I do like Kameron and I have nothing against her as a performer or person, I just think for her to have lasted longer than Cracker and Monet (and I wasn't *the* biggest fan of Monet) is a bit stupid. As Joe said, she's added little to the show, there hasn't been those wow moments or laugh out lout moments, but she's too lovely to actually dislike.

Yeah I can't disagree with the lack of actual wow moments. That's fair.

 

But I have been surprised with her lip syncs though. I've really enjoyed them. That's where she's come alive so far and she's definitely a better lip sync performer than her overall quiet manner would lead you to believe.

tbf her first lip sync was very good but after that it all became repetitive and predictable. she does only one type of split as a shock factor and she does it in every single lipsync. i don't have anything against splits but change it up plz. she ain't no shangela or peppermint and definitely not even in the top 10 best lipsyncers

Exactly! That was my problem, that the stunts and shiz were only because she thought she was losing or wasn't coming across well enough, like "oh shit I better do something" and that's the difference between that sort of thing making a lipsync and falling flat. It ends up feeling like a last ditch attempt to impress and chuck anything in rather than something genuinely impressive and entertaining like say Sasha's rose petals or Monet's false-start split.

See I didn't get that. I thought she was still performing well in the 3rd one. Though I wonder if she thought all hope was lost at that point - up for the 3rd time and against Cracker, who nobody would have expected to go home at that point. But then when it turned out that Cracker wasn't really doing that much, she did a little bit more towards the end to try to amp it up.

The thing is, Cracker did quite a bit. She did a cartwheel and some splits, and some weird comedy stuff. But the producers just chose to show 0 reaction to it from the judges but a shot at Ru gagging and Kameron's leg twirl.

Yeah, you can never trust the edit of the show nowadays. Half the time the reaction shots we see aren't for the person we've just seen in the shot before anyway. I wish they'd just use a full stage shot of the lip sync and not cut away to reactions, so we can see the performers in full and the other queens in the background.

Well this latest episode has completely put me off Euerka and Asia - not a great show for them in terms of personality.

 

Can we just crown Aquaria already? loving her more each show... in fact the more she comes out of her shell out of Drag the more she slays in Drag too.

 

EDIT... Also bit odd saying Asia was so close to winning so many of the challenges? She was low in 2, Safe in 4 and Bottom 2 in 1 of them. So really was close on 2. Euerka was in the higher end more than Asia and won the same amount of challenges

The judges honestly chat so much shit this season :lol: Asia has done well of late ofc but she's been low or bottom 4 times... That is in no way "always close" to winning a challenge. Everyone did at least fairly well (as usual I wasn't *that* keen on Asia) in the challenge this week and all the runways were great (apart from Eureka not even getting the etymology of eureka right LMAOOO) so I guess they wanted to keep.it positive but it did just feel odd they kept pushing that when it's... really not true. There are enough positive things to say about all four of them without bullshitting?!

 

I agree about Aquaria, she's had such a journey and it's been fab to watch! She's such a surprise package because she's one of the best they've had on looks but she's been funny and she turned out easily the best performance this week along with Kameron. She keeps doing what we don't expect, and symbolises where drag is going and the potential it has, whereas both Asia and Eureka we've seen before (I do still think Eureka is and absolute star and love her though) and Kameron just isn't there at the level of being a winner.

Aquaria and Kameron turned it the f**k out this week! Their performances were AMAZING, and they both looked incredible on the runway.

 

Eureka and Asia were a snooze.

 

As much as I love Kameron, Aquaria is quite clearly the most deserving winner.

to be honest Aquaria and Eureka's performances were the best. Eureka sold it with her lyrics and attitude and Aquaria with her choreo. i mean come on that was impressive
