Posted October 16, 20177 yr From the OCC: Further down, Stormzy's debut Gang Signs & Prayer is climbing back up the chart following its vinyl release, so far up 16 places to 23, and Madonna could see two of her classic albums back in the Top 40 this week: her 1984 album Like A Virgin (26) and 1998's Ray Of Light (32) have been given special edition release on vinyl. Wow! *.* I was anticipating them to make an appearance in the midweeks but certainly not Top 40! I suspect they may fall out the Top 40 by the end of the week but this is a great start!
October 16, 20177 yr Author Nothing yet, I'm afraid. It's been a year since True Blue and Like a Prayer got limited vinyl stocked in Sainsbury's and re-entered at #62 and #72 - they were released midweek as they didn't appear in the first set of midweeks, so hopefully Like a Virgin and Ray of Light can get higher.

March 11, 20187 yr Author Bump to say that these two album formats are now available to order on Amazon and other retailers: Madonna coloured vinyl available online March 9, 2018 by Paul Sinclairtags Two limited edition coloured vinyl pressings of Madonna albums – originally created as exclusives for UK retailer Sainsbury’s – are available to order online via Amazon, and other retailers. The blue vinyl edition of 1998’s brilliant Ray Of Light is available (it’s a double, but not in a gatefold sleeve), alongside a clear vinyl pressing of Madonna’s second album, the iconic Like A Virgin. It’s not known how or why Amazon have these and how much stock might be available, but they are well priced and of course makes them available to those outside the UK (and those inside the UK, for that matter, who can’t be bothered traipsing around various branches of Sainsbury’s in the hope of finding them). March 11, 20187 yr Author Think I'm going to get the Ray of Light vinyl - I was just thinking last night how I wish I had one so I could stick it on and chill in bed. Having that distinct record sound makes it all the more intimate and therapeutic.
March 11, 20187 yr I am still meaning to collect all of the vinyls lmao so I may go for this. It's about £5 more than the original I think. Does it still have the same album artwork etc, but just the actual vinyl inside is blue?
