I think it’ll be around 100k. He’s clearly doing well but there’s nowhere near the hype around him that there was during the first album.

#27 debut with 2k sold.

Actually, Roy Orbison with the RPO is ahead of Sam on Amazon but maybe that will change tomorrow. Boe/Ball No.1 on their sales chart.

Add Elvis to this and wake me up when Christmas is over

Gobsmacked that Roy Orbson's still the best seller on Amazon. We'd all get a shock if he did an Elvis and beat Sam to No.1.
I think people are hugely overestimating the album. I'll be very surprised if it does much more than In the Lonely Hour sold in its debut week. For the sake of the market, I'm happy to be proven wrong; but the performance on iTunes and Amazon, whilst good, doesn't suggest massive sales to me.
I think he will sell much less than his first album and predict 100-150k in the first week.
He’s on course for a lower debut than Liam. My source says he’s hit 35k today. So yes, as I expected - I think some people overestimated him a lot.

Streaming will be significant though will it not? Those figures are as yet not included!

It will, but his first day streaming on spotify isn’t hugely different to Liam’s to be honest, single aside.

Sam will be less frontloaded than Liam though. I did think he’d have sold more than 35k but he has promo coming up which will keep him on steady sales for week 2.

Still a poor return in November tho imo if he only does around 55k

I think he’ll do about 90 - 100k in the end which isn’t in any way bad but i assume his label would have expected a lot more.

So I guess he won't be a threat for Taylors album next week after all, I didn't think he would have huge numbers Ed / Adele style. I think people just over estimated him! Be interesting to see how he does through the week and how sales hold up or if he is frontloaded this era.

The only thing is he has an hour long BBC special on Thursday night which might mean his 2nd week sales end up being as strong as his first week sales.

35k is only Fridays' sales though, you still got the weekend to factor in, by Monday it could be over 70+, and it probably trail off after that, I should imagine he finish over 110k but it still feels a bit underwhelming,
Yeh there's a lot more shoppers about as we get closer to xmas, feels like this weekend was the first xmas weekend for shopping!
