Hopefully the Radio 2 plays next week will bring some attention to it, but given that Radio 2 attracts mostly an older audience I don't expect much.

True, I’m finding myself starting to cherry pick songs on Spotify now. I try to play the full album at least once a week though.

The Lost Tapes is slowly climbing the iTunes chart again, currently at #54. Presumably because the R2 exposure.

I know sales are minimal and it’s probably like 15 people, but still it’s 15 people that hadn’t purchased the album previously.

No Regrets quietly passed the 100k mark and is now at 105k streams on Spotify! Metal Heart (92.2k) seems next in line, with I'm Alright (90.8k) close behind.

Yay for No Regrets!! Loved that song since I first saw the YouTube video of it almost 10 years ago!

Should we start seeing if Radio 2’s album of the week has had any impact? Though it’ll be tiny if any.

^ I don't see any effect to be honest! If anything, the album had a very significant drop in streams from wk3 to wk4. It is down 34% week on week from 480k streams to 319k.

BUT yesterday we had 'I'm Alright' and 'Metal Heart' crossing 100k!

 

From the standard edition we only don't have 'Beat is Gone' (95k), 'Victory' (94k), 'I Lay Down' (83k) and 'Back in the Day' (83k) in the 100k mark yet. The former two will have made it in a week, the latter two - in early February.

The biggest faller is 'Today' but it is still gaining nicely. The most stable tracks are 'I'm Alright' and 'Boys'. In fact, 'I'm Alright' overtook 'Metal Heart' in total streams. Also 'Back in the Day' is now being streamed faster than 'I Lay Down' and has also overtook it in total streams.

The Lost Tapes: one month later

 

There has been exactly one month since the release of 'The Lost Tapes', which was purposedly made contradictory to all of the general marketing strategies as a gift to fans. And I could say it served very well!

Sugababes have 3 099 607 monthly listeners now (which is going to fall since now), so I assume this is their peak in this 'era'.

 

That’s pretty decent. Another two should cross that mark this week.

 

Sadly it looks like the deluxe tracks are probably 3-4 months off.

Not bad numbers from this era! It’s great to see them stay above 3m monthly listeners for a while and hopefully as they take their festival set international this summer they should start rebuilding the international audience too

 

 

Really need them to come to Germany though. 1.0 was bigger here than in the UK
