December 23, 20177 yr Author I have an orange 12" of Everything NowSomehow I doubt you'll have an orange 12" of any of the upcoming songs in this countdown. :P Everything Now is such a bop I wish I charted it higher than #10 in my chart now  By Your Side is easily Jonas Blue's best for me  Oh and Alunageorge collab :wub:Well #10 is much higher than #22 where it got for me. I'd rank Mama and Fast Car just above it personally. Was good to have Aluna feature on another dance track, hope they come back for real in 2018 with bops. Everything Now is such a bop, I was so surprised by how much I enjoyed it! By Your Side is probably my favourite thing from Jonas Blue so farThat songs seemed to surprise everyone really. I'd rank Mama and Fast Car just above it personally. Hi Dan Yay at By Your Side making the top 100 here. It's still my favourite Jonas Blue single to this date, I'll never get over how it never took off in the same way that his other singles before & after have  I'm a big fan of the chopped vocals and RAYE is a fantastic vocalist too. I'm not keen on YDKM though so I hope something can prevent it being #1 here :heehee: It's nice to see a little indie representation in the top 100 too even if Arcade Fire is the only example of that. I wasn't expecting to like a song by them as much as I did too but it ended up being one of the soundtrack songs to my summer, so joyous and it never failed to lift my spirits :wub:I'd rank Mama and Fast Car just above it personally. Was hoping it would do better for him though. You'll have to wait to see if YDKM does make #1 here. It only made #2 in my weekly chart so maybe one of my #1s will out-do it, but it did have the longest chart run of the year. Yeah I heard it on the radio and was surprised that it was Arcade Fire and it was that good. was waiting for the recap to comment :P here's my faves... 128 Jaded ~ In The Morning oops at this not doing better! 140 JP Cooper ~ September Song so happy this was a hit in the end after people predicted it would not do too well at the end of last year 146 Julia Michaels ~ Issues relieved I'm not the only one to have this miss the top 100 lol! 155 Portugal. The Man ~ Feel It Still this has really grown on me, certainly different! 156 Lorde ~ Green Light agreed with you that she was severely overrated before but her featured with Disclosure was superb and then along came all the singles from the album and they are so much better than her first album (Team was a'ight I suppose) 177 P!nk ~ What About Us strong contender for my #1, amazed she's had such longevity STILL! 186 Anne-Marie ~ Ciao Adios okay at first I didn't think much of this but it's better than her last couple, still nothing on Alarm or Rockabye for me though! 197 Disciples ~ Jealousy not as good as OMM! 207 Rita Ora ~ Anywhere up there with her absolute best now! 226 Franky Rizardo ~ Same Man this was catchy, made my your year in spotify too :kink: 250 Mabel ~ Finders Keepers (feat. Kojo Funds) one of the best urban songs this year! good stuff, will comment more routinely now you've started the top 100!128. it's very good but grew off me quite quickly which hurt it in the countdown. 140. it surprised me too, thought they weren't doing anything with it as it was released in September and only charted 3 months later. 146. I thought you'd be more of a fan! but yeah it's not top 100 worthy for me. 155. yeah good to see it become a big world hit. 156. I liked her Disclosure song too. 177. quite surprising how long she's stayed relevant for but I think it's cos she appeals well to the adult market. 186. I liked this more than Alarm. 197. OMM will feature here very high. 207. I'd agree, it's still high in my chart. "Despacito": Great song, I really like the original over the remix with Bieber a lot. "By Your Side": Good song, Jonas Blue's production this year has been so good! "Everything Now": Good song, my favourite from their new album. "What Would I Change It To": Good song, but not my favourite from his EP.- great to have someone else here that does - he is great although I wasn't too keen on We Could Go Back or Heartline - not heard the album, I've heard that the title track is by far the standout anyway - agreed here, there's still four more Avicii EP tracks to come. thanks guys~

Well this version brings it bang up to date with a modern house beat and vocals from BB Diamond which make for a proper banger of a tune. I'd love to hear more of her on dance tracks. Unfortunately this got barely any attention though I did discover it off it being featured on a dance compilation. Not much else to say really as the track is fronted by two anonymous house producers, though Freejak was seen in the chart before on a Mr. Belt & Wezol track. December 23, 20177 yr Bad Liar, September Song, Pretty Girl, Hands, Scared to Be Lonely and No Promises are my favourites since I last commented Dan, particularly the latter two  Delighted to see one of my BJSC entries make it in, would that be your favourite of mine? I can't think of another you've liked so much

It's a well written song and the lyrics are still relevant today, but I'd be lying if I said it wasn't the production here that won me over. I love this kind of upbeat tropical house, it may be very "Spotify" but it just kept growing on me. I didn't expect it to make my top 20 after so many weeks bubbling under but that's where it got to in the end. Top 100 Chart History EC Twins 2017 16 Revolution (EC Twins feat. Maybe it should've peaked higher but my chart is a cruel bitch. It's a brilliant song that leaves you wanting more though. Whilst Frenship's vocals aren't all that brilliant, Emily Warren's voice really fits the song so I'm glad she's very prominent in it. Would've been nice if this had actually gone beyond being a Spotify hit but it wasn't sent to radio. And on the other side of the tracking year it ended up peaking at #10 again before Christmas killed it. Wasn't expecting this to do well enough to make it to my top 100 for a second year but I guess it had great longevity. Shame nothing more ever came of them, the rest of their EP didn't do it for me. December 24, 20177 yr Capsize is really great and I wish it could have been a hit, I think I've only like Run Wild out of their other stuff
December 25, 20177 yr I like "Capsize" and I like the performance of Emily Warren. I wish she could do more of this and not be featured on any Chainsmokers tracks.
December 26, 20177 yr A lot of different styles song in the chart!! Nice to see it!! Touch and Anywhere being that low though... :(

December 26, 20177 yr Author Capsize is really great and I wish it could have been a hit, I think I've only like Run Wild out of their other stuffShame they never actually bothered to push it outside of Spotify. December 27, 20177 yr Author #092. J Hus ~ Did You See I'd be a genius if I didn't think with my penis Genre: Hip-hop/afrobeat Label: Black Butter Album: Common Sense Date entered: 10/03/17 Chart sales: 575,900 Chart run: 80-64-66-55-47-47-42-38-35-41-39-46-54-57-59-78-98-90-84-x [19 weeks] Video: 3rk6_Ax0mQo Commentary J Hus broke through with hip hop anthem 'Did You See', which I had a feeling would be a hit but not to the extent that it was, getting bigger than any Stormzy single released this year. With a great hook and production on it though it can't be too much of a surprise. With its lyrics about his rise to stardom (as well as getting money and girls) it's only appropriate that this was the track to get him his first big hit. Next official single 'Spirit' was a bit of a letdown after this but he's back on track with 'Bouff Daddy' (yet to chart) so I imagine J Hus is a name we'll be seeing more of next year. Anyway J Balvin was a name I recognised from him having a few big Latin hits but not someone I ever expected to get a crossover hit but that's what happened with this bop, actually a remix of 'Voodoo Song' by Willy William fun fact. (I also never expected Willy William to make my chart again following #10 hit 'Ego'). Quite amazingly it didn't take a Spanglish remix for it to get into the UK top 10, though it eventually did get one from Beyoncé but we won't mention that again. It does a good job of overcoming the language barrier though with its infectious beat which is refreshing for reggaeton rather than following the 'Despacito' formula, and even without the translation you can tell it's meant to be a party anthem. What sets this apart from the others though is the proper bromance between KYLE and Lil Boat (such an inspirational intro, we should all stop giving a f*ck about the haters and just appreciate the finer things in life like trees, water and... bitches (well it is a rap song what else were you expecting?)) and the tropical beach vibes of the production, and there's some great rapping too and a brilliant hook that flips the children's game of I Spy on its head. The KSHMR influence on the song makes this otherwise standard generic dance track a bit more special. I particularly love the use of the flute here (there'll be another prominent flute much later in the chart) and Sidnie's vocals are very sweet. As for Bassjackers, they are yet to make any sort of chart impact by themselves and they don't have a distinct sound for me, but this and 'Memories' prove that them and KSHMR are a great combination.
