January 4, 20187 yr India’s the only one I dislike at the moment, really good cast and interesting show thus far - very impressed!
January 4, 20187 yr Can we please avoid posting any names for the male housemates until they go in please? I'm trying to avoid spoilers but I've now seen a couple because they haven't been spoilered/hidden in here... :P I'm unsure on India so far, she's provoking some interesting discussions but I don't totally disagree with the posts here. I really am enjoying the line-up of ladies though, such a varied cast and most are contributing so far!
January 4, 20187 yr I’m actually really liking Jess so far and I wasn’t expecting too :o she’s probably my favourite atm along with Malika . Edited January 4, 20187 yr by troylovesmusic
January 4, 20187 yr You know producers will look at ratings and think "omg well clearly the public are missing our scripted showmances" and we go back to square one. Sigh. https://www.thesun.co.uk/tvandshowbiz/52671...pice-things-up/ Somebody called Dapper Laughs is entering. He sounds vile. "It's been a pretty bland series so far so they definitely need him in there to ruffle some feathers with the ladies." Excuse me? EDIT: "He came under fire after he joked that a female audience member was "gagging for a rape" during one of his stand-up routines and more than 50,000 people signed a petition calling for his show to be axed." We're celebrating women this series........and then they go and f***ing put somebody like THAT in the house? I absolutely fail with words. Let's hope that he'll get a bollocking from Ann Widdlecombe for those comments.
January 4, 20187 yr I wish India would practice what she preaches and accept people for what they are ... especially towards Ann
January 4, 20187 yr I’m really loving Rachel so far, which has suprised me! She seems completely different to her brother.
January 5, 20187 yr 1.53m last night. Still dreadful but at least it’s an improvement. Edited January 6, 20187 yr by Lorde
January 5, 20187 yr I wish India would practice what she preaches and accept people for what they are ... especially towards Ann I don't think India should accept people misgendering her? I get it if it's a genuine slip up I guess (Rachel did the same on a BOTS clip) but really they've been in that house together 24/7 they know damn well it's an all female launch, they've been around each other as women for a couple of days... Again, I get a slip up and with Rachel she did immediately correct herself, but Ann has done it multiple times despite being corrected, each time wih that slight smirk that betrays the fact she knows what she's doing and likes to cause people discomfort and wind them up. I agree with your main point though, if India wants her story to be heard and to be accepted and listened to for who she is, she can't then in the next breath whine and complain at topics of conversation just because they aren't fitting for her to shoehorn herself into. Everyone in there has interesting stories (bar Ashley it seems xx) and big opinions, and they naturally want and need to be heard too. I love hearing the debates around all these real life issues, not just India being trans but also the discussions about Harvey Weinstein and the priest stuff. She's coming across as a total attention seeker, the others feel really natural but it just feels like any time a debate or whatever is happening India has to do what she feels will make it onto the highlight show.
January 5, 20187 yr What's the betting the biggest misogynist (Dapper Laughs) is gonna win this series representing 'year of the women'? :')
January 5, 20187 yr Not too sure what to think of that disagreement between India and Amanda. What's the betting the biggest misogynist (Dapper Laughs) is gonna win this series representing 'year of the women'? :') 10-1
January 5, 20187 yr I watched tonight's episode, it's the first one I've seen of the season and so far Courtney is the only one I've kinda warmed too. I was actually really glad to see India stand up and say no it's not okay to misgender me, especially to an older group of women. I think perhaps she should have just accepted Amanda's appology as it did seem sincere but I totally understand why she wouldn't. It's utterly disrespectful to call anyone something they're not comfortable with in any context never mind when that person is trans and has gone through something many of us can't even begin to relate to. It's CBB everything is overplayed and done for the cameras, so I don't care if India was "over-reacting" in some people's opinon, at least the thing she was making a point of is something so many people are guilty of doing and don't understand the effects of so good on her tbh  If anything should be made a big deal of in 2018 its things like that, especially on mainstream TV *.* I will probably keep watching, I'm loving the focus on feminism etc to mark 100 years since we got the right to vote, it's highlighting things that often get swept under the rug unless it's online or whatever.
January 5, 20187 yr With the Amanda/India thing, I totally get why India would be annoyed. She's been referred to as a woman the whole time she's been in the house so I'm not sure why people have referred to her as 'he'? It shows the kind of thing transgender people or those undertaking gender reassignment have to go through as this definitely happens in day to day life too. Obviously, it's a subject very close to India's heart - however I don't think Amanda meant it in an insulting way, it's like she just simply... forgot, or just didn't think, and the whole situation went on for longer than it could've, Amanda obviously felt awful. Courtney X's dress moment *.* Edited January 5, 20187 yr by Parallel Reality
January 5, 20187 yr Don't want to know about spooning when having a spoon of chicken soup. Andrew. Not keen on him on first impression.
January 5, 20187 yr 9 kids with 7 woman..... Blimey. He could either be a Coolio in UBB and say offensive things or Fatman Scoop in the house or Ray J who did f*** all.
