This is misleading - you'll still be able to live & work in Europe after Brexit - it just won't be as easy.

No it isn't, YOU are misrepresenting fact. I have a RIGHT to go and live or work in Europe. That is being taken away leaving me with no rights to live and work anywhere in Europe JUST THE SAME AS I HAVE NO RIGHT TO LIVE OR WORK ANYWHERE ELSE IN THE WORLD UNLESS I'M RICH WHICH I'M NOT.

Stop lying. Rich people can live anywhere, poor people can't. Your vote takes away that right from poor people because you have no interest in rights that don't affect you and your desire to live in a Tory-controlled increasingly right-wing society.

A Right is something inherent, not something granted by a gov't or other body - therefore the EU's didn't have the power to *create* that right. I would therefore count it as more of a convenience.

because you have no interest in rights that don't affect you and your desire to live in a Tory-controlled increasingly right-wing society.

I strongly dispute the above statement!

PREACH!! His views and rants are more right wing by the second, especially when he was ranting AGAINST starving children!!

It is a right and it IS being stripped. As are my human rights all because Murdoch and he Tories hated UA having hman protections.

I have *NEVER* done that!

Rubbish - the Tories wanted to replace the Human Rights acts only because criminals have been misusing it to avoid deportation, not to strip law-abiding citizens of their rights!

How you can say that with a straight face I do not get.

You KNOW they want us stripped of as many protections as possible.

Your blathering nitpicking on how something came to be acquired is just bollocks. British laws are not enshrined in fixed "rights" yet we have them through continued use and tradition. I have a LEGAL right to live and work in Spain. That wasn't passed under a "Temporary Convenience" notice in the Daily Mail one day. You also have the right but dont give a toss about it, which is your legal right to ignore it if you don't want to. It is only stopping being a right under legislation passed by the Government in association with what is agreed with the EU. Legal. Laws.

I currently have a right to move to and come from Spain for as long as I want to and it's being removed from me. That you try and justify it is just sad, and perhaps you now understand why half the country is pissed off at losing it.

Dispute your views all you want, at every opportunity most of your opinions veer towards the right, to one degree or another. That is an observation. If you don't agree, prove it and stop expressing right-wing views at every opportunity....

About the only left-wing bias I can see is you rather like people who aren't in employment being supported by those who are, are vaguely in favour of the NHS up to a point, and the principle of free education for people who arent on degree courses.....probably.

Feel free to correct my rather generalised statements on your opinions...

Murdoch's organisations broke the law many many times - and yet he is still allowed to rant and print lies and propaganda and make money in the UK.

Crooks who face deportation use the legal system to delay it, but not to get out of it.

In fact, as we speak, many many people without criminal records are being forced out or to pay NHS bills despite having lived here and paid taxes for many decades, with British spouses and British children. This, as I like to say, is a fact conveniently ignored by the rags with agendas to push that people take on face value.

How you can say that with a straight face I do not get.

It's easy, when you you're not brainwashed by Marxism...

How could I 'know' something, that even you have no proof of?

Then I assume you can name, say 5, off the top of your head?

I seriously doubt than even every REmainer cares about stuff like this.

You know how I despise the Tories, so perhaps I could be described as an 'Independent Reactionary', with centre-left views on some aspects of the economy, moderated by pragmatism.

CENTRE LEFT!!

YOU'RE HAVING A LAUGH NOW

Well, I didn't think you'd buy 'hard-left'... :heehee:

Seriously though, back in the early 1980's I was pretty much as left-wing as you are now, but 30 years of politics-watching moderated my opinions somewhat, leading to my more pragmatic position nowadays.

PRAGMATIC??

You defend the Tories no matter what, and call bringing up starving children under their vile regime a socialist rant??

Also what is PRAGMATIC about Brexit?

PopChartFreak also make that absurd claim about me, and repetition does not make it any less of a lie.

Also what is PRAGMATIC about Brexit?

To me, quite a lot- but mainly putting sovreignty above economics.

I said it first because I'd true. I said it ages ago when I first noticed. You defend them no matter what and always, always comment on Labour 'gaffes', not Tory.

No. We already have sovereignty. Brexit destroys the economy, cohesion and strips rights. If we are in the customs Union without a say, THEN we lose SOOOME little sovereignty. Right now that is not the case.

Not true - see the Tory Lies & deceit thread just this morning.

AS for sovereignty...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sovereignty

Sovereignty is the full right and power of a governing body over itself, without any interference from outside sources or bodies

Edited by vidcapper

You mean from the euro parliament we vote for? Which we have full veto rights and opt outs over?

In which case the only country that has full sovereignty is probably North Korea. Most country abide by rules laid shown by, for example, the WTO.

From the Oxford Dictionary website (a pretty reliable source I'm sure you would agree) the definition of a right is

A moral or legal entitlement to have or do something.

By your definition, someone accused of a serious crime has no "right" to a fair trial.

Then I assume you can name, say 5, off the top of your head?

No, you can use google. I challenge you to provide proof of your claims and you don't. So why should I. Google takes 5 seconds....

Dont give a f*** what every remainer thinks. Thats what I think about the loss of my rights.

Still no examples, just a use of big words.....
