This song is so good that the remix had two separate spells on my playlist as well as the original having a few weeks too! The original was also a BJSC winner this year and this has truly cemented itself as a firm Buzzjack fave.

#8. Friend Within & Kideko - Burnin' Up

 

 

Two fantastic house producers came together to create this banger which samples Loleatta Holloway's 'Love Sensation'.

#7. CamelPhat & Elderbrook - Cola

 

 

I never once thought this would bother the charts, let alone be a Top 20 hit! Fantastic minimal production from the duo here with a quirky vocal.

#6. offaiah feat. Shenseea - Run This Town

 

 

Yet another track that started life at the beginning of the year as an instrumental, but over the summer Jamaican vocalist Shenseea leant a hand and made a great track an absolute corker! offaiah has only had 2 proper singles and a handful of remixes but he is firmly making himself a favourite producer of mine.

love those, though I much prefer the original versions of 'In The Morning' and 'Run'.

 

'Cola' becoming a big chart hit was amazing to see.

#5. David Guetta feat. Nicki Minaj & Lil Wayne - Light My Body Up

 

 

A bit of a marmite track, but I'm definitely on the "love it" side of things. David switched his production up for this, opting for a dirty electro-infused trap beat with some absolute fire from Nicki Minaj. Lil Wayne's verse doesn't really add very much, but for me the song overall is an absolute BOP.

Two former Top 5 singles of mine in Run This Town and Cola! The former still sounds amazing and I'm sure the latter will after I've given it a little rest ;)

King kong and Cola are my faves from those 5, both took a while to grow on me but I absolutely love them now

Can’t say the same for Light My Body Up tho...

I quite like all of the tracks in the top 10 so far!

#4. Galantis - Rich Boy

 

 

Oddly shunned (WHY?!) from their recent, but underwhelming, second album is this tropical infused track from the Swedish duo. 'Rich Boy' continues their trend of using pitched vocals, this time from an 8 year old(!), with quirky production. This was another marmite track on the site, but one that I loved instantly, and it doesn't hang around throwing us into the first drop just 15 seconds into the track! Special shout out to the Quintino Remix of this track which is just absolutely mental. Great stuff from Galantis right here :heart:

Yay, someone else who likes Rich Boy :cheer: The first Galantis song to go #1 in my Personal Chart :music:

#3. Hifi Sean feat. Crystal Waters - Testify

 

 

A Radio 2 playlist find from the start of the year which has grown to become one of my ultimate tracks of the year! An uplifting vibe and great vocals from gypsy woman herself Crystal Waters AND it's a Sales Top 40 hit *.*

#2. Disciples - On My Mind

 

 

What an amazing few years it has been for Disciples and what a song this is from them! This is the definition of a solid dance track, great production and catchy vocals and it spent a whopping 6 months on my playlist. The house trio continued their already established vibe but took it to another level with 'On My Mind'. This secured them a Top 20 single and it is the most played track on BBC Radio 1 for 2017! An album is expected from these guys in 2018 and I cannot wait to hear what it entails!

love 'On My Mind' but I can't say the same about the rest of the top five. :( 'Rich Boy' and 'Light My Body Up' were both huge disappointments for me.

A whole lotta epicness right here for my #1 of 2017! One of my favourite producers ever teamed up with rap artist G-Eazy to produce this Trap/EDM banger. It's fast-paced with a hell of drop and it's my most streamed track this year! I had the pleasure of seeing Dillon Francis live earlier this year and he just DELIVERED for the entire set and I may have lost my shit just a bit when this came on :kink:
