Releasing six singles off one album is ludicrous. 15 years ago they'd have been criticised heavily if they dared release a fourth single off one album.

 

Also, can PR people stop over-using the word 'swagger' please?

Well, six singles is fine if the first few didn't exactly set the charts alight.

 

The last single went top 10 and the album is still selling strongly, of course they're gonna release another single.

It's not THAT bad but they should've re-released one of their earlier releases. I can't see this appealing to the target audience that they got with 'She Moves In Her Own Way' and 'Naive' tbh.

I suppose you could say that but arguably it could also be the fact that it's released on a strong week with lots of big contenders or it could be the fact that the album has sold a fair amount too.

 

Either way, it was never going to be as big as 'Naive,' and 'She Moves In Her Own Way,' because it's not a song which is as good.

yeah, i agree, Ooh La is definitely their weakest release so far, and one of the weakest on a good album, imo.

#20, not so bad considering it's a busy week and the album has sold a lot.

If anyone does the lottery, look at their singles peaks so far: 5, 7, 12, 20, 28, 35! Worth a punt?
