October 22, 200618 yr "Some Kind Of Monster" is gonna be on More 4 sometime this week I've heard.... Great documentary, one of the best music docs I've ever seen (some unintentional moments of sheer hilarity as well it has to be said.... )

Great documentary, one of the best music docs I've ever seen (some unintentional moments of sheer hilarity as well it has to be said.... ) You must be kidding, it's mind numbingly boring at points!!!! and this is comming from me! Yeah it's Metallica and thats all good and well, but most of the time it's just them talking around a table. I found Lars and Dave Mustaine talking quite fascinating though. but as music documentary it sucks balls compared to things like "Iron Maiden: The Early Days Part 1" and "The Filth and the Fury".

Well, mate "mind-numbingly boring" is how real-life actually is most of the time  , it bears no resemblance to the contrived c**p you see on so-called "Reality TV" shows such as Big Brother, and I liked the fact that they really let their guards down on this one. It probably shouldn't really be described as a 'music doc' (I'd say it's more of a Confessional in many ways..) anyway, but that's where you'll find it in HMV or Virgin.....
October 23, 200618 yr Sorry this is off topic but do you know anything about when the new Slipknot dvd is released?
