oops a lot of interest lost in England then! I suppose it is a meaningless match though

Another key factor in that would be that England's pointless match clashed with key games at Wimbledon.

Market shares of yesterday's football match in other European countries:

Germany: 52.7%

Netherlands: 50.4%

France: 46.0%

Austria: 45.5%

Italy: 36.6%

You'd think the UK share would be way above other markets, but it did not.

As expected, Corrie collapsing at 9:30pm! What were ITV thinking with that scheduling?!

Still did better than EE

Corrie should not be using EastEnders as a benchmark though....

Speaking of which, ouch at EE dropping that low last night. I'm really struggling to see it coming back from this.

Unfortunately some sad news for us ratings followers. BARB has decided to restrict the amount of overnight data that will become public (i.e. from sources on DS).

We'll get the odd rating here and there but the full breakdowns will become a thing of the past. On DS, it's speculated the crackdown is a result of Project Dovetail, which is the adding of catch up viewing into the official ratings, which has cost them a lot of money to get off the ground and will take effect in September.

Hopefully we'll still have ITV Media that posts a daily top 10 of overnight ratings. If not, we won't really have any sources left!

:(

think of all those journalists who have already drafted their articles on the bad overnight ratings of the x factor

It looks like Broadcast is still releasing daily top 3s for each channel...so if X Factor isn't beaten by three ITV programmes and subscribers still kindly share, we will still know its rating! (And can still laugh as it crashes to new lows :P)

Holy actual at EE only managing 3.32m

EE gets around 1.6 million per special episode on iplayer, so I imagine it gets above one million typically on it.
