January 14, 20187 yr Gutted for Hard Sun but the fact it's all out there on iPlayer would definitely have affected it! No doubt, the BBC will have expected a significant drop.

I'm guessing that there could be a crossover audience with Next of Kin which is slightly denting the overnights for Silent Witness.
January 17, 20187 yr The figure for Hard Sun is disappointing, but I'm one of those who have already watched it all on iPlayer. Do the people who watch it in advance of the transmission date get included in the consolidated figures?

Do the people who watch it in advance of the transmission date get included in the consolidated figures? I'm not sure what the rules are exactly but I don't think they do. That's just based on my own interpretation of looking at overnights and consolidated figures - the 'catch-up' figures always seem low.
January 17, 20187 yr I'm not sure what the rules are exactly but I don't think they do. That's just based on my own interpretation of looking at overnights and consolidated figures - the 'catch-up' figures always seem low. Which, potentially means the figures will be rather misleading. After all, if a lot of people do as I have done, that is surly an indication that a programme is popular. It would be a pity if the final viewing figures don't reflect that.

Still a good showing for a C4 drama though. Emmerdale almost a 7m! That's higher than any of its 2017 overnight ratings.
January 18, 20187 yr Was hoping Kiri would’ve held it’s audience, there’s definitely the material there to hook viewers!!
