Dont try to go all defensive and basically say you are better than us. We have just been unlucky at conceding and scoring but with Ephraim we will score the goals that will ultimately keep us up. All I will say on the matter is play offs three times losers. Yes we failed once but you have spent way more money than us and still havent managed it? maybe league 1 will be easier.

I think the sooner the better for both clubs when portsmouth and doncaster are definitely relegated. It's going to be difficult for both clubs as we both have to win half our games left to reach 50 points.the sooner this seasons over the better.

We have massively underperformed. We've spent a lot of money (mainly wages) on players who've then hardly played this season. We're at the bottom and underachieving because Steve McClaren was such a woeful manager, who decided that a squad containing five defenders, two wingers, seven central midfielders and six strikers was the way forward. He completely ruined our season and left us with one of the most unbalanced squads in the history of football. Cotterill is a poor manager but he's improved us no end and made some cracking signings. With McClaren's squad and terrible backroom staff he got 16 points from 18 games. Since he's been able to bring in his own coach and signings we've got 16 points from 11 games. A huge improvement in recent weeks which is why I'm not at all worried, we're far from safe but I'm no longer worried. You said yourself we're underachieving, so we surely do have the squad capable of not going down. Another good point tonight away at Leicester, 5 points clear of the drop with just 7 games left, our next three games against Palace, Peterborough and Bristol City.

18 Peterborough 44

19 Millwall 40

20 Nottm Forest 40

21 Bristol City 36

22 Coventry 35

23 Portsmouth 33

24 Doncaster 32

I'd rather Bristol City stay up, but they've been gradually dropping nearer and Coventry have been improving somewhat. Pompey two wins at home in a row, could get out of it. Millwall could get dragged in with Cardiff and Hull up next. Bad night for you.

F'in boo. 1-0 Everton at HT.

Everton and Spurs through! :D

2-0 in the end, HILARIOUS own goal from Vaughan. Within a couple of minutes of coming on he gave the ball away, then trying to clear a resulting cross, kicked it onto his other leg for an own goal.

Yep, I was there, ROFLing in the stands. Literally ell em eff ay oh'd when it went in. LOL etc

But yeah, i'm giving up with football for a while. Cannot be bothered with anything after tonight.

From a L'pool POV- it's obvious that this season has been a failure. Next season my 3 goals are:

At least 5th place finish, ensuring a UEL spot, we need some big change in order to get this, as this season we have been a mile off the teams above us.

A decent UEL run, and when I say decent I'm hoping last 8, hopefully s-finals or even the final.

A much better season at Anfield, 5 wins from 15 at home is so poor. Our 2010-11 tally was 12 wins out of 19 at Anfield was much better, something similar to that, and respectable away form (winning 6-10 matches) would give us a good chance of top 5.

I don't know whether it's beingn a failure. We won our first silverware for 6 years. That's a step in the right direction. We haven't even been that bad this sason, just really wasteful and poor in front of goal. I mean we have hit the woodwork 22 times and missed 5/6 penalties. Our form has dipped completely since Lucas was injured aswell. In a way being in the Europa league next season is probably be a blessing. We'd get embarrassed in the CL, and in the EL we can develop the younger players. Win-win situation as far as I'm aware.

Wanted Sunderland to beat Everton, but f*** it, we'll f*** them over at Wembley.

Well, beating Peterborough 2-0 is hardly something to jump up and down about but we're back within a point of Reading and playing them next. Given we've drawn seven of our last ten it's rather pleasing we're even in contention any more.

Must be gutting. Hate when you have nothing left to play for, it just seems pointless. I wanted Sunderland to win, but Liverpool probably have more chance of going through against Everton, cos I know the players will be up for it. Sunderland look much better under MoN, but personally I think he's very limited. His tactics can be effective, but I think he lacks alternatives when things go wrong.

Proud of the team for getting as far as they did, but heartbroken at how they bottled such a massive game.

Well Everton probably did want it more. That's not a disrespect to Sunderland at all, it's just I know what David Moyes is like. A semi-final against Liverpool at Wembley is pretty much Everton's cup final. That's where I think MoN stuggles sometimes, when teams match work rate and physicality against Sunderland's.

Nobody thinks he's the perfect manager, everybody has their limitations. But you can't dismiss what he's managed to achieve with the team he's inherited? (Inherited being the key word there, this is Bruce's team).

You can waffle on about how much you "hate his style of play" etc, but at the end of the day he's lifted the players, he's lifted the fans, he's given everybody a renewed sense of belief and more importantly he's getting results. The last time we were this far clear of relegation at this stage of the season was when Reid was manager.

Despite tonight's disappointments the future at SAFC is still looking bright.

I don't think we need a centre back. Sktrel imo now is the the best, or at least on par with Kompany/Vidic as the best centre back in the league. Adam is out for the season aswell. I just don't think Liverpool have struck a balance yet that works. I don't know why you think we need a new right back, Johnson is the best in the league despite the myth he can't defend! He's the third best natural footballer Liverpool have at the club. Kelly is good, but nowhere near Johnson's level. Henderson will come good too. He's not been bad. But similarly to Lucas when he first started, he lacks confidence, and gets slated for doing the simple stuff. The guy is only 20/21 similar to Lucas, who is probably in the top 3 holding midfield players in the world.

Just don't play him at right back otherwise things that happened at White Hart Lane will happen again :P

Sorry! But as a neutral, it was pretty funny, one of those moments where everything that could go wrong did!

My beloved Chelsea need a massive clearance in the summer

Out

Florent Malouda

Jose Boswinga (I Do Rate him, he's just doing nothing)

Paulo Ferreria (Does Nothing and gets over 75k a week)

Ross Turnbull (I would have said Hilario but he just signed a new deal)

Salomoan Kalou (Depending on if Drogba stays or goes)

We need a RB, CB (I just feel David Luiz is more of a Cm than a CB) We actually need a quality RM, Not Ramires.

I think that has been his only bad game of the season! I know I'm slightly biased, but he really has come on so much this season. He's a threat from set pieces now, as well as being a great centre back. I don't know what Kenny was thinking at White Hart Lane, the only other time he played right back he got murdered by Stewart Downing at the Riverside!

Malouda just seems to have lost interest, which is a real shame. I don't think you need a right back AND a centre back if you're got Ivanovic, one or the other would do. Probably a right back.

Bristol city team to face derby imo should be: subs: james, spence, bolasie, wood, mcallister

Malouda had a fantastic buzz around him when first purchased. I have only really seen him shine for Hiddink though, which I do agree is a shame. I disagree Luiz is a worry in CB and i fully believe he has the attributes of a midfielder. I think a RB/Winger and Striker are the main priorites for Chelsea next season though.

Stiliyan Petrov has been diagnosed with Acute Leukamia. I have no idea whether it is AML or ALL or what stage his disease is at, but he may only have a few weeks left if it is bad. I hope everything is okay for him :(
The Posh are staying up :D Leicester were shockingly bad considering the money they've spent, had nothing going forward really. Beckford looked a bit dangerous but was hardly involved, Dyer and Nugent poor. Kasper is good though, if Posh had a keeper like that we'd be well up the league, got a lot going for us in most of the other positions on the pitch!

17 Peterborough 40 -4 47

22 Bristol City 40 -29 37

23 Portsmouth 40 -7 33

24 Doncaster 40 -32 32

Bristol City's next two games are away to Forest and at home to Coventry, beyond massive for them. Still think they're goners. Another great result for Forest today, 7 points from 4 away games against teams with outside shots of the play-offs, got my eye on Posh's 17th now! :D If we could get that and finish 10 points or so above safety it would be a massive achievement.

Also really pleased Reading beat West Ham today. Big Sam is an arrogant w*n**r and their fans this week have shown themselves to be incredibly ungrateful and unrealistic whingers.
