If we had someone like Craig Mackail-Smith we'd have battered Brighton today. An undeserved victory for them but much improved after the shambles that was Leeds on Tuesday. Palace, Bristol and P'Boro next three matches, season defining.

Did you go? Th impression I got from the reports on Final Score was that Brighton were rather lucky today. it sounded like both sides were poor in the first half but that Forest woke up after half-time while it took Brighton rather longer.

Ughhhh Peterborough are going down, and it'll feel so disappointing considering the start we've had, even after I expected it before the season started.
YORK 7-0 KETTERING

:D!!!!

What sort of side did Kettering put out? They were in danger of losing a lot of players as they hadn't been paid. The result suggests they may have had to put out a team of youngsters which could make the remainder of the season very tough for Kettering.

No, I listened on the radio. You had one shot on target, which happened to be the 92nd winner. 2nd half was dreadful with about 1 attempt each, lots of passing but no penetration, 2nd we were much better but just couldn't put it in.

Mixture really. All the XI who started were professionals, 4 on non-contract terms. Fleetwood beat then 3-0 on Tuesday night. They still have some good players. York are just really good this season. York were missing their best two players aswell through suspension. Really hope they don't go under. They're doing the right thing at the moment by trying to balance the books, and not worrying about the short term effects.

Buggery, missed the chance to go top. Bloody Burnley, we had a rather good run going as well.
My Rushden (who are now out of business) mate says Kettering are doing the exact same thing they did last season at the Nene Park stadium and wouldn't be surprised if they are out of business by the end of the week :o

O'Neill confirmed as our new manager, three year contract, very, very pleased. It's an appointment that finally shows some ambition by the club, props to Short for both bringing him in in the first place as well the timing of it.

MON will be in the stands at Molineux tomorrow, then he gets a full week of training with the squad before the Blackburn game.

Yeah it looks it. There has been interest in some of their non-contract players. It might mean they cannot field a team. Really hope it doesn't happen as York will lose 6 points and 11 goal difference. But I really feel for their fans. I know how horrible it is to see your club on the rocks, and almost go out of business. Hope it doesn't happen to Kettering. Their chairman has really messed them up. Such a shame because like Rushden last year Kettering are a club that were living beyond their money. Too many clubs do it, because to get out of the Conference you have got to be a really really strong team.

Well MoN has got his work cut out at Sunderland. I think they need a whole new back four!

Think he'll be a good short term appointment for Sunderland. Not so sure about whether he is the right man for a long term stint though. I don't like the guy.

Arsenal are doing amazing now except for there draw last week and there loss against city in the carling cup
Arsenal are so going to beat Leeds in the F.A cup

Edited by ramseydawson

The annoying thing is my dad is a Leeds fan so if arsenal loose i am not going to hear the end of it

What a fucking shambles MoN is inheriting here, absolutely sickened by yesterday's result. That's 0 points taken from two of the worst teams in the league, with Blackburn to come on Sunday. Brill.

We have five games before the start of January, if O'Neill can get anything from them working with that shower of shit he deserves the freedom of the city. We are awful, truly awful.

Oh, and Eric Black can fuck off as well.

Fleetwood Town to be promoted this year! :yahoo:

Urgh I hope not. They're a team of mercenaries just like Crawley were. They'll finish in the Top 5. Will be close between Wrexham, Fleetwod & York who wins the league.

The FA are a joke. Liverpool charged as the players reacted after Spearing was sent off, which evidently wasn't a red card. I don't understand how that's any different to any other game ? It happens all the time

At least if their going to charge clubs.. Be a little more consistent about it as they obviously don't remember this then ?

I didn't see the game so I can't comment. The FA are just a full on joke though. No surprise there. Fully expect to see Suarez get a two game ban for what he did. It was wrong, but the likes of Lampard, G.Neville and A.Cole have done it before and got more punishment for it.
