I could see Guardiola getting the job. Barcelona will want to keep hold of him, but I'd expect he'd be tempted. The coach of Athletico Bilbao is now even been linked ...madness! (even though he is a top coach, he would NOT work well at Chelsea).

Podolski is a really good signing for Arsenal. He flopped big time at Bayern Munich, and perhaps that could happen again, but there's more positives then negatives from the transfer. He's performed really well in a bad team. He could be seen as a replacement for Van Persie (playing Devil's Advocate). Don't think Spurs will not finish out of the top 4. Liverpool and Chelsea aren't getting the results at the moment, and I'd be surprised if either hit a purple patch of form soon.

I fancy Everton to do one on Spurs this weekend, and Chelsea *should* beat Stoke at home. I think if Arsenal win against Newcastle on Monday (as they should) then it is game over for Pardew's top 4 dream.

Dunno anything can happen, Liverpool can still get 4th. All of the teams have been inconsistent, still think Arsenal are vulnerable.

I think today has ruled Liverpool out of the running, I am surprised there is not more pressure on Dalglish's job, they are not performing any better than under Hodgson IMO.

They've lost three league games in a row. That never happened under Hodgson.

To be fair the three games we have lost have been against Manchester United, Arsenal and Sunderland. Hodgson is complete dross, and an utter bellend.

Liverpool are going to be lucky to finish Top 6. Just weren't up for it today. Probably got eyes on the home games against Everton and Stoke. Small minded attitude. Fair play to Sunderland. I hate Martin O Neill's style of play, and it really is just a glorified version of Stoke City, but it is effective. Don't know what Dalglish is playing with, he seems to have fallen in to the same mind of Wenger and having only a Plan A. Tried to play football on a pitch that wasn't even suitable for rugby. The only highlight was the plastic bag floating around the pitch all game! :D

Everton beating Spurs :o If they keep this up, they could go ahead of Liverpool with a win on Tuesday.

I'm sure if Hodgson had spent so much money on Henderson, Downing and Carroll he'd have probably been killed by a Liverpool fan now, such was the hatred they had for him. 6 points above Swansea in 15th place, that's dire and surely inexcusable? Hodgson was awful but if he had spent that much money I really don't think they'd have been much (if at all) worse off than they are now. They play Everton on Tuesday, that is massive, biggest derby in a long while surely?

Bolton will comfortably survive now I think, QPR and Wolves are doomed, final place between Blackburn and Wigan, Wigan need something at Norwich tomorrow.

This money excuse is weird though, because for all the money that's been spent, we've saved so much in wages. In the long term paying £20m for a player is better than getting a player for free and paying £100k a week for them. Dalglish is not immune to criticism, and he is getting stick at the moment. But Liverpool are not Chelsea. Hodgson is just an awful manager. It's frustrating not being the best, but it takes time. Big derby game on Tuesday, but I think we'll win. Obviously if we lose heads will roll. Just think the players gave up on 4th last weekend after we bossed Arsenal and ended up getting beat. Away from the defence only Suarez was really up for the battle. Roll on next season, can't f***ing wait till Lucas is ready to play again.

Lucas is a big loss to be fair, and that's a fair point regarding wages, wasn't Jovanovic on huge money? Although he was a Benitez signing. I saw Coates started ahead of Carragher today, is this now the realisation that he's pretty much past it now? I've thought he's gone massively downhill since you finished 2nd, and Capello's decision to take him to South Africa was mind-boggling at the time, even worse when he played.

Everyone should catch the Football League Show tonight purely to watch Andy Reid. I'm not sure what's most surprising, a team of at the bottom of the 2nd tier having a player with such natural ability at he peak of their career, or someone letting that happen to them in the first place. He's truly first class.

Yeah he was, so was Joe Cole. I don't think the owners mind spending large transfer fees for lower wages. It works out the same, or better in the long term. Henderson gets stick for his transfer fee, but he will become a fantastic player. He gets the same stick Lucas got, just used as a scapegoat by the pleb Liverpool fans, and the plebs in the media. Lucas is a massive blow. Honestly we are so disjointed without him. I think we might had got 4th had he hadn't got the injury, but that's football. We miss him badly. When he and Gerrard aren't playing we have no class in midfield. Spearing will never be more than a good back-up, Henderson is still too inexperienced and Adam wants too much time on the ball.

Carragher is past it. He was at fault for both the goals last weekend. He still reads the game very well, but he's the weak link in defence. If you watch the Arsenal match last weekend, Van Perise was originally playing against Skrtel, and he didn't have a sniff at goal, not once. But Wenger saw this and played him off Carragher. No surprise who won. He's too slow to be a top class defender anymore. Coates was nervous to begin with, but grew into the game. He, Skrtel and Suarez were probably the only bright spots of the game today. Carragher has got enough year on his contract left yet unfortunately. Just hope some of the Liverpool youngsters get given a chance now. There's a fantastic set of players coming through. Really do think they could do what Man Utd did with Beckham, Scholes, Giggs, Nevilles etc.

United back on top, Swansea should now be safe, and deservedly so, The Liberty really is a fortress. A Wigan win today is necessary I feel. Up the Latics!
Man Utd are going to win the title now. Will be the only thing they can win after they get knocked out of the Europa League! Man City bottling it yet again. Can't believe Man Utd will end up winning the league again. Their superior strike force makes up for the mediocre back line.
You know a set of supporters are a bunch of massive cunts when you concede a 94th minute decider to your main rivals and it's the thing that bothers you least. "Forest going down with their chairman in a box", "Going down with Doughty", "Where's your chairman gone?". Just imagine if the game had been played the day after he died as planned, disgraceful scummy w*n**rs.

Rival fans are always petty. Especially the ones with smaller histories (although Man Utd-Man City may just be the exception). They're always living in the shadow of the bigger club, so use it as an excuse to do as they please. Everton are the same.

Anyone that says Gerrard is finished needs their head looking at. Complete masterclass tonight. Been the story of our Liverpool's season. Mainly playing fluent, free playing football - just let down by not having enough technically gifted players.

To be honest it's one of those things that's really shown Derby in a massively bad light. It's their first double over us in 40 years and the main story is their fans behaviour. When they beat us in September and Chris Cohen went down with an injury that ended his season Derby played on for nearly a minute and scored, they never mentioned anything about it. Last night their captain Shaun Barker broke his leg and Marcus Tudgay made sure the ball was out of play as soon as it happened so he could get treatment ASAP, and we've posted a message on our website wishing him well, before Derby have done anything like issuing an apology for their fans behaviour. Apparently Doughty's dad (also a Forest fan) was in the director's box last night and in tears. It's amazing how defeat to rivals doesn't bother you that much when their fans have nationally disgraced their club.

What's worse is trying to justify the behaviour by blaming Forest fans, saying they can sing that when a few (and it was only a few) fans were singing 'Let Him Die' when Barker went off on a stretcher with oxygen, and that when Commons played for them we chanted about his girlfriend losing their baby. Funny isn't it, I've not seen any Forest fan do anything but condem any chants about Barker, certainly no one justifying them, and last night was the first I'd even heard about Commons baby, so they were clearly no where near as widespread. Every club in the world has a moronic minority, but given the clarity of the chanting on the radio, that was far more than a select few.

My main concern about Gerrard is his injury record, he's spent a lot of time out over the past couple of seasons, he's only started 7 of 28 league games this season. There's no doubting his ability. I'd be surprised if he doesn't retire from England duty after the summer.

Well that's the one part of football I hate. It's ok having a bit of banter as long as it is light hearted, but there are so many vile awful chants around these days. And what's worse is nothing is ever done to eradicate the problems. The Everton fans were airing their favourire murderes and Hillsborough chants last night yet nooone really bats an eyelid, even though you can clearly hear them. Just like when Spurs used to have their racist Adebayor chant - noone bats an eyelid. I just put it down to a bit of class. Don't rise to the people that bait you. Obviously I think jealously comes in to the equation a lot aswell, and smaller clubs think they have the divine right to sing whatever they want to their bigger counterparts.

Leeds 1 - 3 Forest (Blackstock, 52)

Leeds 2 - 3 Forest (Becchio, 53)

Leeds 3 - 3 Forest (Brown, 55)

Leeds 3 - 4 Forest (McCleary, 56)

I CAN'T TAKE THIS!
