Kenny is not great at the moment, but Hodgson was just f***ing dreadfull. His whole persona. He almost single handedly forced some of our best players out of the club, and publiclly shamed them in the media. This is a man that thought Christian Poulsen was a better player than Lucas Levia and a European victory against some minows was "famous". Liverpool are not playing great at the moment. Lack of confidence, idk. I think Kenny tried to changed things too quickly. Our tactic of give the ball to Suarez and see what he does it great when it comes off, but w*** when it doesn't. We miss Lucas badly. And even more so Jamie Carragher needs to retire. We have to play so deep to accomodate him. We're stuck in that awful territory where we have nothing left to play for. 4th is out of reach, we're in Europe. Says something when an 18 year old right-back was our best player yesterday. And Raheem Sterling did more in 10 minutes than a lot of players have done all season!

I just think Liverpool have bought badly imo. The ironic thing is the best buy by a longshot that Kenny has made is Luis Enrique who was one of the cheaper signings at £6m. They really should have gone for O'Neill instead of Kenny personally, I don' t think he's the man to take Liverpool back to being title contenders but right now I don't know who they'd get instead tbh.

A couple of poor buys, but they're only poor because of the money paid. Like I said a few pages back when you actually think about money up-front verses wages then it makes economic sense, at least that's how the owners say it. Apparently we spent £100m, yet no-one ever considers how much the actual net spend is. O'Neill would have been a horrible choice. I hate his tactics with a passion! There are plenty of good managers out there, but Liverpool won't sack Kenny yet. A poor start to next season then perhaps. Just got to concentrate on winning the FA Cup this season. I don't mind finishing 7th and winning two cups. It's progress.

Newcastle's team that destroyed West Brom today and is flying so well cost £34.5 million to assemble. That donkey you've got up front was £500k more. I think we may see the issue.

Carroll's not been that bad. We've spent a lot of money, but we needed to because our squad was f***ing abysmal. Some may say it is not much better now, but it definitely is. Been blightened by injuries and suspensions this season. We over paid for him, but we swapped Babel and Torres for Carroll and Suarez. Saving money in wages massively.

With Carroll starting I think Liverpool have won loads more than without. Still, not £35 mil.

I want SAFC/Everton to beat LFC in the semi-final, even as a Reds fan, if SAFC/Everton are in the final against Spurs/Chelski/Bolton and NUFC finish 6th, it means the (dirty) mags don't get europe :)

My favourite post. Ever.

Cannot wait for Tuesday night.

Need a big upturn in form to finish 7th though! Closer to 14th than 6th at the moment, and away to Newcastle next...

As much as I'd love both Bolton and Sunderland (for MON) to go further in the cup, I'm LOVING the prospect of Spurs-Chelsea and Liverpool-Everton semi-finals. They simply HAVE to happen!

We'll beat Newcastle if Carragher doesn't play.

This is what we need IMO.. We have done much better when Carroll starts than if he doesn't, and I think Kelly should definitely be RB. Kuyt gets in the game and feeds in Carroll and Suarez and it's a winning recipe. In Summer, we need to invest, centre-back and right-back, some solid centre-midfielders and a prolific striker... and hopefully Kenny will (finally) see sense and ditch Henderson.

And just 1 day to go... I know this is weird and a bit bitter but I want Sunderland to beat Everton as A, all my mates are Sunderland fans and they are defo my second club; B it would be amazing to see the buzz of Sunderland at Wembley round here; and C, Sunderland pose more of a threat than Everton against the Reds- and of course wanting Sunderland to win so they sabotage NUFC's european hopes.

I hope Sunderland demolish Everton- but they haven't beaten the toffees since 2000.

Begone, naysayer.

Dreading/buzzing/shitting bricks for tomorrow. Can't believe it's less than 24 hours until arguably the biggest game in the club's recent history. Urghshgssasdfsdfdsdfgfdfgh.

I hear it's going to be a full-on colours-and-scarves affair. Hope we sing the bastards into submission.

Bristol City are dreadful. They had a bit of a purple patch when they first employed McInnes but that's about it. Three potentially good signings yesterday though in Ephraim Kienen and Bikey (though Burnley fans don't rate him). We drew 0-0 with them in December and it was a typically woeful game between two teams near the bottom. I'd say Forest have by far the best squad of the bottom few teams, I'm not really worried about going down at all now, even though our set of remaining fixtures is the most difficult on paper.

Of the bottom 8 (those who can still technically get relegated) in the last 10 games only 3 have got more than a point a game, Posh and Millwall just (11) and Forest with 14.

As a supporter for many years i think that is actually ridiculous. We almost beat middelsborough away on saturday which hardly any teams do. What other teams have beaten southampton and leicester home and away and also drew away to west ham. Yes are current form isnt good at the moment but if we make the signings derek has in mind we could even be in the premier league before long. So Basically dont judge us till we have stayed up.

why did Luke varney not want to go to forest. exactly he knows you are all big headed useless twats that should be in league 2 let alone league 1. Steve cottrill is a terrible manager whih is why he got dropped by league 2 cheltenham. Yes you beat leeds 7-3 but that was probably luck and also almost definetly player power by leeds. Finally you are nowhere near safe as it i about 3 points between useless relegation fodder like you and unluky not to be play-offs us. see you in league 1 where you belong with doncaster and portsmouth. :D

12 points from Leicester and Southampton and yet you lie one point above safety and with only Doncaster having scored less goals? Oh dear! Coventry have an excellent chance of staying up given their run-in is so kind. Even when we were at our very worst (playing awfully, dire form, loads of injuries) we managed to pick up a point at Ashton Gate!

I'm not sure why we didn't sign Varney, but I don't think you'll find any Forest fan that cares about that! I've never tried to suggest Steve Cotterill is a good manager, because he really isn't. But he's certainly not worse than the other Steve we had managing us this season! 4 points between us and the drop zone with a game in hand tonight, 4 points is a small gap, yes, but when the teams below us have won 6 of the last 40 games between them, then no I'm not that worried.I'm not going to say we're "too good to go down" because countless teams in various divisions have proved that theory completely wrong, but looking at our squad we have more than enough quality to stay up reasonably comfortably. The likes of Reid, Guedioura, Higginbothom, Blackstock and McCleary (current form) is a class of player which few teams in the Championship have, let alone ones at the bottom!

I don't think we need a centre back. Sktrel imo now is the the best, or at least on par with Kompany/Vidic as the best centre back in the league. Adam is out for the season aswell. I just don't think Liverpool have struck a balance yet that works. I don't know why you think we need a new right back, Johnson is the best in the league despite the myth he can't defend! He's the third best natural footballer Liverpool have at the club. Kelly is good, but nowhere near Johnson's level. Henderson will come good too. He's not been bad. But similarly to Lucas when he first started, he lacks confidence, and gets slated for doing the simple stuff. The guy is only 20/21 similar to Lucas, who is probably in the top 3 holding midfield players in the world.

So, so nervous. I don't think i've ever been this tense leading up to a match before, certainly not during my time as a Season Ticket holder anyway.

Such a big game with a lot riding on it. Please, please don't let me down Sunderland.

HA'WAY THE LADS

Big buzz over it... missing the CL matches for it. They don't matter- the black cats going to wembley matters!

From a L'pool POV- it's obvious that this season has been a failure. Next season my 3 goals are:

At least 5th place finish, ensuring a UEL spot, we need some big change in order to get this, as this season we have been a mile off the teams above us.

A decent UEL run, and when I say decent I'm hoping last 8, hopefully s-finals or even the final.

A much better season at Anfield, 5 wins from 15 at home is so poor. Our 2010-11 tally was 12 wins out of 19 at Anfield was much better, something similar to that, and respectable away form (winning 6-10 matches) would give us a good chance of top 5.

Dont try to go all defensive and basically say you are better than us. We have just been unlucky at conceding and scoring but with Ephraim we will score the goals that will ultimately keep us up. All I will say on the matter is play offs three times losers. Yes we failed once but you have spent way more money than us and still havent managed it? maybe league 1 will be easier.

I think the sooner the better for both clubs when portsmouth and doncaster are definitely relegated. It's going to be difficult for both clubs as we both have to win half our games left to reach 50 points.the sooner this seasons over the better.
